Kajian Pustaka Aktivitas Antihipertensi Beberapa Ekstrak Tanaman dari Suku Malvaceae terhadap Penurunan Tekanan Darah

Abstract


ABSTRACT: High blood pressure is a degenerative disease characterized by an increase in blood pressure in the body. The purpose of this study was to see the potential of several plant extracts that have been studied as antihypertensives, the effective dose of the extracts as antihypertensives and to determine the secondary metabolite compounds that play a role in antihypertensives. Based on the results obtained from the literature review, several plants from the Family Malvaceae, namely Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.), Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), and Baobab (Adansonia digitata) have potential activity as antihypertensives, also produce effective doses to reduce blood pressure and some of these plants also contain secondary metabolites including flavonoids and alkaloids that have a role in antihypertensives.

ABSTRAK: Tekanan darah tinggi (hipertensi) merupakan salah satu penyakit degeneratif yang ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan suatu tekanan darah di dalam tubuh.. Tujuan penilitian ini adalah untuk melihat potensi beberapa ekstrak tanaman yang telah diteliti sebagai antihipertensi, dosis efektif pada ekstrak sebagai antihipertensi dan mengetahui senyawa metabolit sekunder yang berperan dalam antihipertensi. Berdasarkan hasil yang telah didapatkan dari kajian pustaka bahwa beberapa tanaman yang berasal dari suku malvaceae secara yaitu Rosella (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.), Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus), dan Baobab (Adansonia digitata) memiliki potensi aktivitas sebagai antihipertensi, juga menghasilkan dosis efektif untuk menurunkan tekanan darah dan beberapa tanaman tersebut juga mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder diantaranya flavonoid dan alkaloid yang berperan dalam antihipertensi
