Studi Deskriptif Mengenai Self Efficacy dalam Melaksanakan Pendidikan Karakter pada Guru SD
Abstract
Abstract. Character education is very important, therefore the government makes character education as a part of the learning curriculum in schools. At formal education, character education will be easily provided when the child at primary school age. The schools will conduct effective character education if high self-efficacy held by the teachers in the school. The teacher is required to believe in his own ability to build student character, as well as his ability to overcome the negative influence of students from outside the classroom. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of Self efficacy in Implementing Character Education in Elementary Teachers. The research method used is descriptive method using a quantitative approach. The sample used was 103 teachers from 16 elementary schools in Bandung, selected through the Cluster Random Sampling. The results of this study indicate elementary school teachers in Bandung have high self-efficacy in character education as indicated by 98% of teachers having Personal Teaching Efficacy (PTE) and General Teaching Efficacy which are in the high category.

Abstrak. Pendidikan karakter dijadikan sebagai tanggung jawab negara dengan memasukan program tersebut ke dalam kurikulum pembelajaran. Dalam pendidikan formal, penanaman karakter yang paling mudah adalah dengan dilakukan mulai Sekolah Dasar. Sekolah akan melaksanakan pendidikan karakter yang efektif apabila guru di sekolah memiliki self efficacy yang tinggi. Guru harus percaya pada kemampuannya sendiri untuk membangun karakter siswa, serta kemampuannya untuk mengatasi pengaruh negatif siswa dari luar kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai Self efficacy dalam Melaksanakan Pendidikan Karakter pada Guru SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 103 orang guru dari 16 sekolah dasar di Kota Bandung yang dipilih melalui Cluster Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa guru SD di Kota Bandung memiliki self efficacy dalam melaksanakan pendidikan karakter yang tinggi ditunjukan dengan sebanyak 98% guru memiliki Personal Teaching Efficacy (PTE) dan General Teaching Efficacy yang berada pada kategori tinggi.
