Communication Activities in the Big Reds Community as the Supporters of Liverpool FC

Abstract


Communication activities on the supporter community Big Reds Liverpool FC Bandung that support Liverpool is compared with the Indonesian league team. For the Big Reds Bandung, communications activity is a way to support the team to remain solid despite their favorite team win or lose. Communication activities on the community of fellow Big Reds supporters are familiar with each other unlike other supporters. Therefore, it is a form of identity not similar to the supporters of other clubs. The theory in this study uses the theory of group communication. The special theory is the theory ethnography of communication Dell Haymes the analysis stresses the communication situation, communication events, and communication actions. The method used qualitative ethnographic perspective of communication Dell Haymes, a method that describes systematic, factual, and accurate information on the data, the nature and the relationship of the phenomenon under study, and then analyzed based on Dell Haymes’ ethnography of communication. The data was collected by interview, observation, and literature study. The results of the study in the context of the communication situation, communication events, and communication actions on the supporter community Big Reds Liverpool FC Bandung that creates its own tradition in a style both at the time of assembly, watch together, and so forth. It is expected to build effective communication within the context of the communication situation, communication events, and communication actions on the supporter community Big Reds Liverpool FC Bandung.
