Peran Public Relations Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung

Abstract

Abstract. The title of this research is "The Role of Public Relations of Belitung Regency Government in Building Public Trust". The purpose of this research is to know the role of expert prescriber of Belitung Regency Government in building public trust, to know the role of communication facilitator of Belitung Regency Government in building public trust and to know the role of problem solving facilitator Local Government of Belitung Regency in building public trust. This research uses the theory of excellence in public relations by looking at the role of expert prescriber, the role of communication facilitator and the role of problem solving facilitator. The research method used by writer is descriptive method to describe the role of PR of Belitung Regency Government in building public trust. The result of the research, it can be seen that the Public Relations Role of Belitung Regency Government has been running well seen from the role of expert prescriber done by mapping the problem, in the role of facilitator communication is done by coordination with related institutions and in the problem solving facilitator problem solving role done according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) as well as negotiation and compromise in open dialogue so that public trust given by the people of Belitung Regency is still quite high.

Abstrak. Judul penelitian ini adalah “Peran Public Relations Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung dalam Membangun Kepercayaan Publikâ€. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran expert prescriber Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung dalam membangun kepercayaan publik, untuk mengetahui peran communication facilitator Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung dalam membangun kepercayaan publik dan untuk mengetahui peran problem solving facilitator Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung dalam membangun kepercayaan publik. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori excellence in public relations dengan melihat aspek peran expert prescriber, peran communication facilitator dan peran problem solving facilitator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah metode deskriptif untuk menggambarkan peran PR Pemda Kabupaten Belitung dalam membangun kepercayaan publik. Hasil penelitian, dapat diketahui bahwa Peran Public Relations Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Belitung sudah berjalan dengan baik dilihat dari peran expert prescriber dilakukan dengan cara pemetaan masalah, dalam peran communication facilitator dilakukan dengan cara koordinasi dengan instansi terkait serta dalam peran problem solving facilitator pemecahan masalah dilakukan sesuai SOP (Standard Operating Prosedure) yang berlaku serta negosiasi dan kompromi dalam dialog terbuka sehingga kepercayaan publik yang diberikan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Belitung tergolong masih cukup tinggi.
