Studi Literatur Aktivitas Antibakteri Tanaman Famili Euphorbiaceae
Abstract
ABSTRACT: Infectious disease is a disease caused by the entry and development of a microorganism that can consist of fungi, bacteria, parasites and viruses. Microorganisms that can cause disease in humans are pathogenic microorganisms, and one of them is pathogenic bacteria. Plants of the Euphorbiaceae family have been used by local people in several countries in traditional medicine against several diseases. Several potential antibacterial activities of plants from the Euphorbiaceae family have been proven by several researchers, namely Jatropha (Jatropha curcas L.), chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius), and meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L.). The purpose of this literature study is to find out the antibacterial activity of plants from the Euphorbiaceae family and to find out what compounds are found in plants of the Euphorbiaceae family that have antibacterial activity. This research method is carried out by means of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) through reputable research journals. The results showed that the Euphorbiaceae family had activity against E. coli, S, aureus, K. pneumoniae, S. typhi, P. aeruginosa, and P. acnes bacteria. This activity is thought to be due to the presence of secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, steroids, dan terpenoids. In addition, plants from the Euphorbiaceae family contain hydroxylamine, hesperidin, kaempferol, quercetin, rutin, apigenin, and philantin compounds.

ABSTRAK: Penyakit infeksi merupakan suatu penyakit yang disebabkan oleh masuk dan berkembangnya suatu mikroorganisme yang dapat terdiri dari fungi, bakteri, dan parasit serta virus. Mikroorganisme yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit pada manusia adalah mikroorganisme patogen, dan salah satunya adalah bakteri patogen. Tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae telah digunakan oleh penduduk lokal di beberapa negara dalam pengobatan tradisional terhadap beberapa penyakit. Beberapa potensi aktivitas antibakteri dari tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae telah dibuktikan oleh beberapa peneliti yaitu pada tanaman jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.), chaya (Cnidoscolus aconitifolius), dan meniran (Phyllanthus niruri L.). Tujuan dari studi literatur ini mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri dari tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae dan untuk mengetahui senyawa apa saja yang terdapat pada tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara Systematic Literatur Review (SLR) melalui jurnal penelitian bereputasi. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa pada tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae memiliki aktivitas terhadap bakteri E. coli, S, aureus, K. pneumoniae, S. typhi, P. aeruginosa, dan P. acnes. Aktivitas tersebut diduga karena adanya metabolit sekunder golongan alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, steroid, dan terpenoid. Selain itu tanaman famili Euphorbiaceae memiliki kandungan senyawa hydroxylamine, hesperidin, kaempferol, kuersetin, rutin, apigenin, dan filantin.
