Interpersonal Communication Parents in building Relationships with children the disabled "Down Syndrome"

Abstract


Humans as social creatures are always in touch and requires the existence of a communication with each other or anyone else in his environment. However, not all people can develop normally in the live stages of its development. Sometimes occur in either the physical or the growth of the pisikis one as experienced older persons with Down Syndrome. In connection with this, parents are required to choose the correct way of communicating to his Down Syndrome. Communication between the parents with children will bring up an influence for the effectiveness of communication directly or indirectly which occurs in the family. The type of research conducted qualitative research is the research approach with case studies. In general case study is a strategy that is more suitable when the subject matter of a question of research with regard to how and why. Data collection techniques in the study of researchers conducting field observations observations and interviews in depth with some parents related community activity POTADS Bandung. The results of this research reveal that communication between parents of children with down syndrome disabilities goes well because parents who taught her son become open, and parents also empathize over experienced by his son. In addition parents always give motivation and positive attitude to his son, in order that her son was not like other people feel differently. Urge parents not to impose the desires of parents, but to see how the child's response to a thing that is done. With incorporated into this POTADS community, parents share their experiences and information, so be easy access for parents to behave and also take decisions to his son that bears down syndrome.
