Gambaran Tipe Work-Life Balance Perawat Wanita di Instalasi Rawat Inap Paviliun Pelangi RS Dustira Cimahi

Abstract. Pavilion Pelangi Inpatient Installation nurses are different from other pavilion inpatient nurses because Pavilion Pelangi Inpatient Installation nurses are specifically tasked for upper class patients, such as local officials, soldiers with rank of brigadier general, major general, lieutenant general, major, and captain optimally. The workload and working hours of female nurses as medical workers are susceptible to work-family conflict, Greenhaus (1985). However, despite the work-family conflict that they felt, there is also a positive experience called work-family enrichment. The combination of both called work-life balance. The purpose of this study is to find the description of work-life balance type on married female nurses at Pavilion Pelangi Inpatient Installation of Dustira Hospital. Population in this study is 17 married female nurses. This study is using work-family conflict (WFC) measurement by Grzywacz and Carlson (2007) and work-family enrichment (WFE) by Dawn S. Carlson (2006). The result showed there were 53% harmful balance type, 29% active balance type, 12% beneficial balance type, and 6% passive balance type.

Abstrak. Perawat Instalasi Rawat Inap Paviliun Pelangi ini berbeda dengan perawat instalasi rawat inap paviliun lain karena perawat paviliun rawat inap ini khusus bertugas untuk merawat pasien-pasien kelas atas, misalnya pejabat daerah, tentara dengan pangkat brigadir jenderal, mayor jenderal, letnan jenderal, mayor, kapten secara optimal. Beban kerja dan jam kerja perawat wanita sebagai tenaga medis yang dituntut melayani pasien kelas atas ini menjadi rentan untuk menimbulkan konflik pekerjaan-keluarga (work-family conflict), Greenhaus (1985). Namun, dibalik konflik pekerjaan-keluarga didapatkan pengalaman positif yang disebut work-family enrichment. Kombinasi keduanya disebut dengan work-life balance. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui gambaran mengenai tipe work-life balance pada perawat wanita yang sudah menikah di Instalasi Rawat Inap Paviliun Pelangi  RS Dustira. Responden pada penelitian ini merupakan populasi dari perawat wanita yang sudah menikah sebanyak 17 orang. Untuk mengukur tipe work-life balance  menggunakan alat ukur work-family conflict (WFC) dari Grzywacz dan Carlson (2007) dan work-family enrichment (WFE) dari Dawn S. Carlson (2006). Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah tipe harmful balance sebesar 53%, tipe active balance sebanyak 29%, tipe beneficial balance 12%, dan tipe passive balance sebanyak 6 %.
