Descriptive study of Adversity Quotient on teachers of Dewi Sartika elementary school Bandung.

Abstract


This research is formed based on phenomenon in Dewi Sartika elementary school Bandung. It has more disability students (ABK), however, it is not an inclusion school. The teachers face many problems in handling those children. The school does not provide facilities for diability students. The objective of this study is to describe teachers ablity to handle disability students with minimum facilities provided and without any special needs and disablity education, or special training. The instrument of the research is an Adversity Response Profile (ARP) questionnaire of Paul G Stoltz that describes each aspect of AQ they are; control, origin and ownership, reach, and endurance. The results show that the AQ of each teacher is high, it proves that the teachers are able to handle and overcome all problems and difficulties in handling disablity and special needs students.
