Pengaruh Academic Self-efficacy Terhadap Prokrastinasi Mahasiswa Pada Pembelajaran Daring

Abstract


Abstract. The convenience, speed, and accessibility of the Internet and accompanied bias of technological productivity have an impact on the phenomenon of student procrastination which has increased along with the online learning process implemented in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Procrastination is not always closely related to negative connotations, where there are two types of procrastination, namely active procrastination which is the behavior of delaying academic activities that is carried out intentionally in order to collect more information related to completing tasks which generally result in satisfactory results, and passive procrastination which is the behavior of delaying until out of time which generally results in unsatisfactory results. The behavior of procrastination in students is closely related to their academic self-efficacy. Academic self-efficacy is a student's belief in their ability to carry out academic tasks. This study aims to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy on student procrastination in the city of Bandung in online learning. The research design used is quantitative with the causality method. Measurements were made using the Academic Self Efficacy Scale and the Active Procrastination Scale. The sample in the study amounted to 400 students. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis technique. The results showed that academic self-efficacy had an effect of 69.8% on procrastination.

Abstrak. Kenyamanan, kecepatan, aksebilitas terhadap internet serta anggapan bahwa teknologi dapat meningkatkan produktivitas berimbas pada fenomena prokrastinasi mahasiswa yang meningkat seiring dengan proses pembelajaran daring yang diterapkan ditengah pandemi Covid-19.  Prokrastinasi tidak selalu erat dengan konotasi negatif, dimana terdapat dua tipe prokrastinasi yaitu prokrastinasi aktif yang merupakan perilaku menunda kegiatan akademik yang dilakukan dengan sengaja guna mengumpulkan informasi lebih terkait penyelsaian tugas yang umumnya berdanpak pada hasil yang memuaskan, serta prokrastinasi pasif yang merupakan perilaku menunda hingga batas waktu habis yang umumnya berimbas pada hasil yang tidak memuaskan.  Perlaku prokrastinasi pada mahaiswa erat kaitannya dengan academic self-efficacy yang dimiliki. Academic self-efficacy merupakan keyakinan mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan mereka dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  pengaruh academic self-efficacy terhadap prokrastinasi mahasiswa di Kota Bandung pada pembelajaran daring. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode kausalitas. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan Academic Self Efficacy Scale dan Active Procrastination Scale. Sampel dalam penelitian berjumlah 400 orang mahasiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa academic self-efficacy memberikan pengaruh sebesar 69,8% terhadap prokrastinasi.
