Pengaruh Autonomous Motivation Terhadap Komitmen Organisasi Pada Karyawan Hotel X Kota Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. An organization needs committed employees to survive in this highly competitive business world. Some previous research has shown that one of the factors that can make employees have organizational commitments is motivation. Behaviors determined by interest, find the activity interesting and enjoyable called autonomous motivation. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of autonomous motivation on the commitment of the organization to the employees of hotel X Bandung, as well as an overview of the level of autonomous motivation and commitment of the organization of hotel employees X Bandung City. The research used motivation theory from gagné &deci (2005) self determination theory, using Organismic Integration Theory approach and R. Mowday &Steers (1979) organization commitment theory. The measurement was conducted using the Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale (MWMS) (Gagné et al., 2015) adapted by Indiyastuti and The Organizational Commitment Questionnaire developed by (Mowday &Steers, 1979). The sample in this study amounted to 39 employees divided from two departments namely House Keeping and Front Office. The method used in this study is non-experimental research in the form of survey research with quantitative approach. The analysis was conducted with statistical tests of Multiple Linear Regression, the results showed that there was an influence of autonomous motivation on organizational commitment with a determination coefficient of 45.8%.

Abstrak. Sebuah organisasi membutuhkan karyawan yang berkomitmen untuk dapat bertahan dalam dunia bisnis yang sangat kompetitif ini. Beberapa riset sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa salah satu faktor yang dapat membuat karyawan memiliki komitmen organisasi adalah motivasi. Perilaku yang ditentukan oleh minat, menganggap kegiatan itu menarik dan menyenangkan disebut dengan autonomous motivation. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh autonomous motivation terhadap komitmen organisasi pada karyawan hotel X Kota Bandung, serta gambaran tingkat autonomous motivation dan komitmen organisasi karyawan hotel X Kota Bandung. Penelitian menggunakan teori motivasi dari self determination theory Gagné & Deci, (2005) dengan menggunakan pendekatan Organismic Integration Theory dan teori komitmen organisasi R. Mowday & Steers, (1979). Pengukuran dilakukan menggunakan Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale  (MWMS)  (Gagné et al., 2015) yang diadaptasi oleh Indiyastuti dan The Organizational Commitment Questionnaire yang dikembangkan oleh (Mowday & Steers, 1979). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 39 orang karyawan yang terbagi dari dua departemen yaitu House Keeping dan Front Office. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian noneksperimental berbentuk riset survey dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji statistika Regresi Linier Berganda, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh autonomous motivation terhadap komitmen organisasi dengan hasil koefisiensi determinasi sebesar 45,8%.
