Pengaruh Self Regulated Learning terhadap Student Engagement Mahasiswa Hubungan Internasional di Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of self-regulated learning on student engagement of International Relations students in Bandung. This study uses a quantitative approach that uses a survey method. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling. Using two measuring tools, namely the MSLQ (Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire) which consists of 58 items with a reliability of 0.916 and the University Student Engagement Inventory (USEI) which consists of 15 items with a reliability of 0.882. The subjects in this study were 307 active students majoring in International Relations class 2017-2020 in Bandung. The approach method used is simple linear regression analysis with Pearson correlation analysis technique assisted by SPSS software. The results of data analysis prove that there is a significant effect between self-regulated learning on student engagement as seen from (0.000 > 0.05) or tcount that is 17.419 > ttable which is 1.9677. The contribution of the influence is 0.499 or 49.9%. The results of the regression analysis obtained the equation Y=7,747+0,197X. This equation proves that there is a positive effect between self-regulated learning (X) on student engagement.

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-regulated learning terhadap student engagement mahasiswa hubungan internasional di Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode survei. Teknik sampling menggunakan stratified random sampling. Memakai dua alat ukur yaitu MSLQ (Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire) yang terdiri dari 58 item dengan reliabilitas 0,916 dan USEI (University Student Engagement Inventory) yang terdiri dari 15 item dengan reliabilitas 0,882. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 307 mahasiswa aktif jurusan Hubungan Internasional angkatan 2017-2020 di Bandung. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan teknik analisis Pearson Correlation yang dibantu software SPSS. Hasil analisis data membuktikan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara self-regulated learning terhadap student engagement dilihat dari (0,000 > 0,05) atau thitung yaitu 17,419 > ttabel yaitu 1,9677. Kontribusi pengaruhnya sebesar 0,499 atau 49,9%. Hasil analisis regresi diperoleh persamaan Y=7,747+0,197X. Persamaan ini membuktikan terdapat pengaruh positif antara self-regulated learning (X) terhadap student engagement.
