Descriptive study of children well-being on ALL-type leukaemian children of in Rumah Cinta Bandung.

Abstract

Leukaemia of ALL type is a kind of cancers that commonly contracted by children. Generally leukaemian will have psychological, physical and social barriers. It is away of other research results, children in Rumah Cinta show positive behaviour and satisfaction in their lives. The objective of the study is to find out a clear image of children well-being on leukaemian children of ALL type in Rumah Cinta Bandung. The data are collected by observation, interview, and providing a questionnaire. The method used is descriptive study with 18 children as the sample; it is devided into two age groups, 8 and 10 years old. The results show that children of 8 years old have high satisfaction with health, home satisfaction, satisfaction with school, satisfaction with the area living in. Children of 10 years old have high home satisfaction, satisfaction with material things, satisfaction with the area living in, satisfaction with health, satisfaction with interpersonal relationship, school satisfaction, and personal satisfaction. The two groups have the same lowest domain as satisfaction with time organization.
