Descriptive study of children ell-being on children of late childhood in SOS children’s Village Lembang.

Abstract


SOS children’s Village Lembang is children prosperity institution provides alms houses, parents affection, care and education in order that they can survive by their own hands. SOS Children’s Village Lembang tries to get the children taken care of based on family substitute. The children are happy because they live with a foster mother in a house and their needs are guaranteed. According to the reseach result of DEPSOS and amp; UNICEF about charitable institution condition that most of children in that place are the children who lost their parents because of death, natural disasters, divorce and abandoned. Those causes are quite negative for their mental health and decrease their well-being state. The objective of this study is to obtain empirical data about Children well-being in SOS Children’s Village Lembang. The method used is descriptive study with 30 children as the sample. The instrument used is a questionnaie adapted by UNICEF and ISCSI from subjective well-being theory of Diener. The results show that the dominant domains are home satisfaction and personal satisfaction with the precentage of 100% in each domain.
