Hubungan Self-Compassion dengan Loneliness Pada Remaja di Panti Asuhan Al-Fien Bandung
Abstract
Abstract. Not all teenagers are lucky to live with their families, various reasons can lead to teenagers living in orphanages. Orphanages aim to provide care for children who do not live with the family and are tasked with meeting the physical, psychological and social needs of the child. However, adolescents at the Al-Fien orphanage showed that they had high loneliness because they did not have close relationships with other people and could not participate in activities with friends who had the same interests. Some orphanage teenagers also show that they have low self-compassion, seen from some teenagers that they cannot accept the situation they are experiencing and tend to blame others for the problems that have occurred to them. The method used is the Spearman rank correlation with 32 subjects. The measuring tool for measuring self-compassion uses an adaptation of the self-compassion scale compiled by Neff (2003). In measuring loneliness using an adaptation of the UCLA Loneliness Scale Version 3 compiled by Russell (1996). The results showed that there was a negative relationship between self-compassion and loneliness with a correlation coefficient of -0.598.
