Studi Deskriptif Mengenai Sumber-Sumber Enjoyment pada Atlet Muda Usia 11-15 Tahun di Kota Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. In the process of coaching young athletes, the psychological condition of the athletes is important to note, one of which is enjoyment. The phenomenon that occurs in the process of coaching young athletes aged 11-15 years in Bandung is the lack of attention to the psychological condition of young athletes which causes a decline in the performance of young athletes who step up to the senior level. Fun is very important to be able to build positive motivation in sports that will make athletes perform in the future, it is important to understand what makes sport fun. The purpose of this study is to obtain clarity regarding the dominant source that can build enjoyment in the process of fostering young athletes aged 11-15 years in Bandung. The measuring instrument used is The Sources of Enjoyment in Youth Sport Questionnaire (SEYSQ) from Wiersma (2001) which was adapted in Budiana's (2012) dissertation. The method used in this research is descriptive-quantitative with the number of subjects 100 young athletes aged 11-15 years in the city of Bandung. The analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this study are of the six sources of enjoyment that play a role in the enjoyment of young athletes 11-15 years old in Bandung City based on the order, namely the Competency Reference and Recognition (ORCR) of 25.85%, Competitive Excitement (CE) of 22.02%. , Self Reference Competency (SRC) 21.36%, Positive Parental Involvement (PPI) 13.21%, Effort Expenditure (EE) 8.79% and Affiliation with Peers (AP) 8.77%.

Abstrak. Dalam proses pembinaan atlet muda kondisi psikologis atlet menjadi penting untuk diperhatikan, salah satunya adalah enjoyment. Fenomena yang terjadi dalam proses pembinaan atlet muda usia 11-15 tahun di Kota Bandung yaitu kurangnya perhatian pada kondisi psikologis atlet muda yang menyebabkan menurunnya prestasi atlet muda yang melangkah ke jenjang senior. Kesenangan sangat penting untuk dapat membangun motivasi positif dalam berolahraga yang akan membuat atlet berpretasi di masa depan, hal ini menjadi penting untuk memahami apa yang membuat olahraga menyenangkan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kejelasan mengenai sumber dominan yang dapat membangun enjoyment dalam proses pembinaan atlet muda binaan usia 11-15 tahun di Kota Bandung. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah The Sources of Enjoyment in Youth Sport Questionnaire (SEYSQ) dari Wiersma (2001) yang diadaptasi pada disertasi Budiana (2012). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif-kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek 100 atlet muda usia 11-15 tahun di Kota Bandung. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah dari enam sumber enjoyment yang berperan membangun enjoyment pada atlet muda usia 11-15 tahun di Kota Bandung berdasarkan urutan adalah Other Reference Competency and Recognition (ORCR) sebesar 25,85%, Competitive Excitement (CE) sebesar 22,02%, Self Reference Competency (SRC) sebesar 21,36%, Positive Parental Involvement (PPI) sebesar 13,21%, Effort Expenditure (EE) sebesar 8,79% dan Affiliation with Peers (AP) sebesar 8,77%.
