School Well-Being Siswa Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Rawan Banjir Kabupatan Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. Schools in flood-prone areas and students who are familiar with flooded schools can affect the welfare of students in schools. Generally, the problems experienced by students who study in flood-prone areas that can lead to emotional problems due to flooding which can later have an impact on the teaching and learning process, such as difficulty concentrating and rejection of schools. School well-being is a person's assessment of themselves and their relationship with the school environment, where the individual can satisfy the needs of having, loving, being and health (Konu & Rimpela, 2002). This research is a descriptive study that aims to see school well-being. Participants in this study were 86 students in grades 4, 5, 6 who attended schools in flood prone areas. The measuring instrument used was a form of questionnaire which was compiled based on the school well being theory from Konu and Rimpela (2002) developed by Heryani & Rosiana (2017). Data obtained from distributing questionnaires are filled directly. The results showed the percentage of overall students as much as 93% of students have high well-being. Suggestions for future researchers, it is better to use a school well-being measurement tool according to the age of the respondent. Another suggestion for the school, it is better to make a questionnaire that can be filled out by students which can later be used as school evaluations.

Abstrak. Sekolah yang berada di wilayah rawan banjir dan siswa yang terbiasa dengan keadaan sekolah yan terendam banjir dapat mempengaruhi kesejahteraan siswa di sekolah. Secara umum, permasalahan yang dialami oleh siswa yang bersekolah di wilayah rawan banjir yaitu dapat memunculkan permasalahan emosinal karena banjir yang nantinya dapat berdampak kepada proses belajar mengajarnya, seperti sulit berkonsentrasi dan penolakan akan sekolah. School well-being adalah penilaian seseorang terhadap diri mereka sendiri dan hubungannya dengan lingkungan sekolah, dimana individu tersebut dapat memuaskan kebutuhan having, loving, being dan health (Konu & Rimpela, 2002). Untuk mengetahui bagaimana kesejahteraan siswa di sekolah yang berada di wilayah rawan banjir dapat dilihat dari aspek-aspek kesejahteraan siswa di sekolah (school well-being). Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk melihat school well-being. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4, 5, 6 yang bersekolah di wilayah rawan banjir yang berjumlah 86 siswa. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur berupa kuesioner yang disusun berdasarkan teori school well-being dari Konu dan Rimpela (2002) yang dikembangkan oleh Heryani & Rosiana (2017). Data diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner yang diisi secara langsung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan presentase dari keseluruhan siswa sebanyak 93% siswa memiliki well-being yang tinggi. Saran bagi peneliti selanjutnya, sebaiknya menggunakan alat ukur school well-being dengan disesuaikan dengan usia responden. Bagi pihak sekolah, sebaiknya membuat kuesioner yang dapat diisi oleh siswa yang nantinya dapat digunakan sebagai evaluasi sekolah.
