Pengaruh Loneliness terhadap Parasocial Relationship pada Fansclub Wannable di Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. Wannable Squad Bandung is a fansclub that admires boyband Wanna one, excessive attention to Wanna One makes fans develop feelings of having relationships, connections and intimacy with their idols. Unlike interacting with the social environment in his life. They feel they are failing to build close and warm social relations with friends and the opposite sex so that they felt lonely. The purpose of this study was to find out how much influence of loneliness on Parasocial Relationship at wannable fansclub in Bandung. The data analysis used is a simple regression analysis. This study used a population study with 83 respondents aged 18-25 years in early adulthood. The measuring instrument used in the form of a loneliness questionnaire based on Weiss's (1973) theory of 20 items and Parasocial Relationship based on Tukachinsky's (2011) theory of 24 items translated by researchers. The data result obtained from this study is in the form of ordinal data. The result of this study obtained R square value of 0.514 = 51.4%, it means that the influence of loneliness on Parasocial Relationship Wannable Squad Bandung amounted to 51.4%.

Abstrak. Wannable Squad Bandung merupakan fansclub yang mengagumi boyband wanna one, perhatian yang berlebihan  pada wanna one membuat penggemar mengembangkan  perasaan memiliki hubungan, koneksi dan kedekatan secara intim dengan idolanya. Berbeda dengan berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sosial di kehidupannya. Mereka merasa gagal dalam membangun relasi sosial yang dekat dan hangat baik dengan keluarga, teman-teman, dan lawan jenis sehingga mereka merasa kesepian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh loneliness terhadap Parasocial Relationship pada fansclub  wannable di Bandung. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi populasi dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 83 orang berusia 18-25 tahun termasuk dalam usia dewasa awal. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa kuesioner loneliness berdasarkan teori Weiss (1973) sebanyak 20 item dan Parasocial Relationship berdasarkan teori Tukachinsky (2011) sebanyak 24 item yang diterjemahkan oleh peneliti. Data yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini berupa data ordinal. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh nilai R square sebesar 0,514 = 51,4%, artinya pengaruh loneliness terhadap Parasocial Relationship wannable squad Bandung sebesar 51,4%.
