Studi Deskriptif Psychological Well Being pada ODHA di KDS Female Plus Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. HIV/AIDS is a disease which became an international epidemic. The things that are encountered in the psychological reaction stage of HIV patients include fear, frustration, sadness, depression, rejection, stress, dependency, apathy, and unbelieve in the secret holder himself (Stewart, 1997). PLWHA in KDS Female Plus, those who are positive with HIV with various stages, feel a variety of positive and negative conditions. Changes in physical, psychological, and social conditions are experienced during HIV. They are HIV positive still have goals in their lives, realize their potential, have a quality relationship with others, and feel responsibility for their own lives. The purpose of this study is to obtain a picture based on empirical data on the description of psychological well being in people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in Female Plus. The measuring instrument use Psychological Well Being Scale Ryff that the adaptation researcher consists of 84 items. Overall, the results of measurements on PLWHA in Female Plus obtained by 73.3% have high psychological well being. There is 5 of 6 dimension in which high category are autonomy, environmental mastery, positive relation with others, purpose in life, and self acceptance. The one dimension is in low category is personal growth.

Abstrak. HIV/AIDS termasuk ke dalam penyakit mematikan di dunia yang kemudian menjadi wabah internasional. Hal-hal yang dijumpai pada tahapan reaksi psikologis pasien HIV diantaranya rasa takut, frustrasi, rasa sedih, murung, penolakan, stress, ketergantungan, apatis, dan tidak percaya pada pemegang rahasia dirinya (Stewart, 1997). Pada ODHA di KDS Female Plus, mereka yang positif mengidap HIV dengan berbagai stadium, merasakan bermacam-macam kondisi positif maupun negatif. Perubahaan kondisi secara fisik, psikologis, dan sosial dialami selama mengidap HIV. Mereka yang HIV positif tetap memiliki tujuan dalam hidupnya, menyadari potensi yang dimiliki, memiliki hubungan yang berkualitas dengan orang lain, dan merasa tanggungjawab dengan hidupnya sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran berdasarkan data empiris mengenai gambaran Psychological well being pada ODHA (Orang Dengan HIV/AIDS) di KDS Female Plus. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah alat ukur Psychological well being Scale Ryff yang peneliti adaptasi terdiri dari 84 item pernyataan. Secara keseluruhan, hasil pengukuran pada ODHA di KDS Female Plus diperoleh sebesar 73,3% memiliki Psychological well being yang tinggi. Adapun 5 dari 6 dimensi termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi yaitu autonomy, environmental mastery, positive relation with others, purpose in life, dan self acceptance. Satu dimensi lainnya termasuk dalam kategori rendah, yaitu personal growth.
