Kajian Sisa Umur Pakai Pipa Transportasi Crude Oil Pipeline C (SP 03 - SP 04) di Kecamatan Balongan Kabupaten Indramayu Provinsi Jawa Barat

Abstract


Abstract. Crude oil transportation activities usually use metal-based pipelines due to the nature of the metal which is resistant to high temperatures and pressures. Metal pipes that are corroded in pipes cause the pipe to experience a reduction in thickness so that it can cause leaks and the remaining life of the pipe is low. Therefore, monitoring is needed, one of which is a study of corrosion in crude oil transportation pipes so that crude oil transportation activities are not disturbed. The research was conducted on a crude oil transportation pipe with a length of 2,600 m which is above and below ground. This study aims to determine the type of corrosion, the corrosion control method applied, the corrosion rate, and the remaining useful life of the pipes. The environmental conditions at the study site had an ambient temperature of 320C – 350C with soil conditions having a pH value of 5.5 - 6.1 calculated using a pH meter soil tester and having a soil resistivity value of 2,489 - 3,754 Ω.cm with the help of the Tinker Soil ResistivityMeter and Rasor SR-2 and included in the category of very corrosive to corrosive. There are 14 test points for measuring the actual thickness of the pipe using the help of Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge Panametrics MG 2. The methodology used in this research is to use pipe thickness reduction data due to corrosion to determine corrosion rates and remaining service life. The types of corrosion that occur in crude oil transportation pipes are uniform corrosion and erosion corrosion. Control for corrosion that is applied internally using the addition of UOP TM UNICOR TM C. victims (SACP) with Magnesium as the anode of their victims. Corrosion rate for transportation pipes has a value of 0.1306 – 0.2206 mm/year and belongs to the good category based on the relative corrosion resistance. Remaining service life of the pipeline is 21,16 – 48,15 years and has a pipe design life of 20 years so that the pipes used have exceeded the design life of the pipe.

ABSTRAK: Kegiatan transportasi crude oil biasanya menggunakan jalur-jalur pipa dengan berbahan dasar logam dikarenakan oleh sifat logam yang tahan terhadap temperatur dan tekanan yang tinggi. Pipa logam yang terkorosi pada pipa menyebabkan pipa mengalami pengurangan ketebalan sehingga dapat menimbulkan kebocoran dan sisa umur pakai pipa menjadi rendah. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan monitoring salah satunya ialah kajian mengenai korosi pada pipa transportasi crude oil agar kegiatan transportasi crude oil tidak terganggu. Penelitian dilakukan pada pipa transportasi crude oil dengan panjang 2.600 m serta berada di atas dan di bawah tanah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis korosi, metode pengendalian korosi yang diaplikasikan, laju korosi, dan sisa umur pakai pipa. Kondisi lingkungan pada lokasi penelitian memiliki suhu lingkungan 320C – 350C dengan keadaan tanah memiliki nilai pH 5,5 – 6,1 dihitung menggunakan alat pH meter soil tester dan memiliki nilai resistivitas tanah sebesar 2.489 – 3.754 Ω.cm dengan bantuan alat Soil ResistivityMeter Tinker dan Rasor SR-2 serta termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat korosif - korosif. Terdapat 14 test point untuk pengukuran tebal aktual pipa dengan menggunakan bantuan alat Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge Panametrics MG 2. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berdasarkan API 570 pengurangan ketebalan pipa akibat korosi untuk menentukan laju korosi dan sisa umur pakai. Jenis korosi yang terjadi pada pipa transportasi crude oil adalah korosi merata dan korosi erosi. Pengendalian untuk korosi yang diaplikasikan secara internal menggunakan penambahan inhibitor UOP TM UNICOR TM C. Pengendalian korosi yang diaplikasikan secara eksternal menggunakan coating jenis Rust-Oleum Stops Rist Enamel Brush dengan wrapping Polyken The Berry Plastics CPG System 942/955 EN, serta menggunakan proteksi katodik anoda korban (SACP) dengan Magnesium sebagai anoda korbannya. Laju korosi untuk pipa transportasi memiliki nilai 0,1306 – 0,2206 mm/tahun termasuk ke dalam kategori good berdasarkan ketahanan korosi relatifnya. Sisa umur pakai pipa 21,16 – 48,15 tahun dan memiliki umur desain pipa 20 tahun dengan demikian pipa yang digunakan telah melebihi umur desain pipa.
