Optimalisasi Closed Side Setting (CSS) Jaw Crusher

Abstract


Abstract. Along with the very rapid development of development, be it the construction of roads, toll roads, buildings, housing, airstrips, and other necessities, it will certainly increase the demand for supporting materials, such as andesite. To cope with the increasing demand for andesite, in this case the mining process to the processing process must be considered as well as possible.

Andesite mineral deposits, especially in West Java, have great potential resources, one of which is mined and processed by PT Nurmuda Cahaya. Products from PT Nurmuda Cahaya's processing are split 1 (-3.5 +2.5), split 2 (-2.5 +1), split 3 (-1 +0.5) and rock ash. To produce this product, andesite stone processing is carried out in the form of size reduction using the jaw crusher.

Currently the production of split stone is 155.26 tons / day, but due to the increasing level of market demand, the company is targeting production yields to 350.48 tons / day so that efforts to increase production are needed. To increase the optimization of split production, it is necessary to rearrange CSS (Closed Side Settings) on the primary jaw crusher, because this tool can still change the CSS rearrangement to achieve the production target expected by the company. The CSS currently used by the company is 80 mm. CSS adjustments were carried out twice, namely CSS 70 mm and CSS 90 mm. Data were collected for 8 days for each CSS setting

Based on the initial CSS jaw crusher settings that have been applied, it is 80 mm which results in a split production of 172.51 tons / day with a return percentage of 9.04% and a work efficiency of 62.88%. For the second CSS reset, it is known that it is 70 mm, resulting in a split production of 87.82 tons / day with a percentage return of 7.47% with a work efficiency of 35.45%. For the third CSS reset, which is 90 mm, resulting in a split production of 205.44 tons / day with a return of 13.89%, 70.02% work efficiency.

Based on the rearrangement of CSS carried out with css 70 mm, 80 mm, and 90 mm, then the reset is set using CSS 70 mm, because it produces the products needed by the market

Abstrak. Seiring dengan berkembangnya pembangunan yang sangat pesat, baik itu pembangunan jalan raya, jalan tol, gedung-gedung, perumahan, lapangan terbang, dan keperluan lain, tentunya akan meningkatkan permintaan bahan penunjang, seperti halnya batuan andesit. Untuk mengatasi permintaan batu andesit yang meningkat, dalam hal ini proses penambangan hingga proses pengolahan harus diperhatikan dengan sebaik mungkin.

Endapan bahan galian andesit khususnya di Jawa Barat memiliki potensi sumberdaya yang besar, salah satu diantaranya ditambang dan diolah oleh PT Nurmuda Cahaya. Produk dari hasil pengolahan PT Nurmuda Cahaya yaitu split 1       (-3,5 +2,5), split 2 (-2,5 +1), split 3 (-1 +0,5) dan abu batu.  Untuk menghasilkan produk tersebut maka dilakukan pengolahan batu andesit berupa pengecilan ukuran dengan alat yang digunakan jaw crusher.

Pada saat ini produksi batu split sebanyak 155,26 ton/hari, namun karena tingkat permintaan pasar meningkat maka perusahaan menargetkan hasil produksi menjadi 350,48 ton/hari sehingga dibutuhkan upaya peningkatan produksi. Untuk meningkatkan optimalisasi produksi split diperlukan pengaturan ulang CSS (Closed Side Setting)  pada alat jaw crusher primary, karena pada alat ini masih dapat dilakukan perubahan pengaturan kembali CSS guna mencapai target produksi yang diharapkan perusahaan. CSS yang dipakai perusahaan pada saat ini adalah 80 mm.  Pengaturan CSS yang dilaksanakan  sebanyak 2 kali pengtauran yakni CSS 70 mm dan CSS 90 mm. Pengambilan data dilakukan seama 8 hari untuk masing-masing pengaturan CSS

Berdasarkan pengaturan awal CSS jaw crusher yang telah diterapkan, sebesar 80 mm yang menghasilkan produksi split 172,51 ton/hari dengan presentase return sebanyak 9,04% dan efisiensi kerja sebesar 62,88 %.  Untuk pengaturan ulang CSS yang kedua diketahui sebesar 70 mm, menghasilkan produksi split 87,82 ton/hari dengan presentase return sebanyak 7,47% dengan efisiensi kerja 35,45 %. Untuk pengaturan ulang CSS yang ketiga yaitu sebesar 90 mm, menghasilkan produksi split 205,44 ton/hari dengan return sebanyak 13,89% efisiensi kerja 70,02%.

Berdasarkan pengaturan ulang CSS yang di lakukan dengan css 70 mm, 80 mm, dan 90 mm, maka ditetapkan pengaturan ulang menggunakan CSS 70 mm, karena menghasilkan produk yang dibutuhkan oleh pasar
