Analisis Percakapan dalam Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar

Abstract


ABSTRACT. Public speaking is a very important thing to be mastered by someone nowadays. This is because public speaking can help someone to speak up their opinions or even share their knowledge and information to the public. Many people think talking in front of people is something that is very forbidding. Therefore from that, by given all the experiences he had, DJ Arie as a public speaker who was graduate majoring in communication at the Bandung Islamic University, established a public speaking training place for those who want to learn about public speaking techniques called DJ Arie School of Public speaking. This study use a qualitative research method with an ethnomeological approach according to Harold Garfinkel and conversation analysis by Alain Coulon to be able to analyze conversations in teaching and learning activities at DJ Arie School of Public Speaking. The data collection technique used in this research is through direct observation, literature study and interviews and is equipped with documentation. The research subject is DJ Arie as the speaker or communicant at DJ Arie School of Public Speaking who will analyze the conversation and his gestures in delivering the material. The results of the research found by the researcher indicate that the conversations by the speakers in teaching and learning activities at DJ Arie School of Public Speaking have two forms of expression, namely indicative expressions and natural expressions. There are 16 gestures which has meaning in every gesture.
