Strategi Komunikasi Internasional Thailand dalam Mengembangkan Program Halal

Abstract


Abstract— The development of the halal world made the Thai government glance to take advantage benefits for the Thai government in managing and developing it. even though Thailand is a predominantly Buddhist country and is also designated as state's official religion. Halal program becomes an instrument in supporting an interest Thailand by providing many benefits in various aspects so Thailand states could join the halal market and become a non-Muslim country managed to attract the attention of many countries and tourists in developing halal programs. This research is about how the Thai government's international communication strategy is in developing halal programs so that Thailand can contribute to the use of halal. This research is to find out the process of international communication in the development of Halal as soft power diplomacy, knowing how Thailand's reasons for adopting a soft strategy power diplomacy through the Halal program, knowing the parties that are collaborating with Thailand in developing the halal program as well as knowing the Barriers to Soft Power Diplomacy in Developing Halal Food Programs. In this study using grounded theory of communication planning theory, international communication theory, soft power diplomacy and gastrodiplomacy as supporting theories. This research uses the method qualitative case study approach. Research data collected through dissemination Medalam interview with Halal Department of the Central Islamic Council of Thailand, Halal Science center, Coordinator of the Socio-Cultural Information Function of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok, Secretary I Economic Function of the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok and Thamasat University Students The results of this study regarding the international communication strategy by the Thai government in developing he halal program as Thailand's state soft power.
