Karakteristik Penderita Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) Berdasarkan Usia, Jenis Kelamin dan Keluhan Utama di Poli Penyakit Dalam Rumah Sakit Al Islam Bandung Tahun 2015

Abstract


Abstract: The lifestyle of Indonesian society these days has changed as a result of advances in technology and industry. Smoking, obesity, junk food and caffeine consumption are the lifestyle that cannot be avoided. The impact of poor lifestyle causes of disease, one of which is Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). The prevalence of GERD in Asia generally are lower than in western countries, however, recent data suggest that the prevalence is increasing. This study aims to determine the characteristics of age, sex and the chief complain of people with GERD in poly of internal medicine of Al Islam Bandung Hospital in 2015. This is a descriptive study with data collection techniques use the medical records of patients with GERD who done simple random sampling and cross sectional approach. The subject of this research were 101 medical records. Determining the number of the subject of research use the slovin formula and getting the minimum number of 101 subjects. From 101 patients with GERD in outpatient internal medicine of Hospital Al Islam Bandung most belong to the age group > 40 years is numbered 55 people (54.45%). The majority of patients are female as many as 53 people (52.47%). The most chief complain are epigastric pain as many as 36 people (35.64%). Others, complaining of chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, bloating, nausea, heartburn, odynophagia, sore throat, hiccups and mouth tasted sour.

Abstrak: Gaya hidup masyarakat Indonesia saat ini telah mengalami perubahan akibat dari kemajuan teknologi dan industri. Kebiasaan merokok, obesitas, junkfood dan konsumsi kafein merupakan salah satu gaya hidup yang tidak bisa dihindari. Dampak dari gaya hidup yang buruk tersebut menyebabkan timbulnya penyakit, salah satunya yaitu Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Prevalensi GERD di Asia secara umum memang lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan negara barat, namun demikian data terakhir menunjukkan bahwa prevalensinya semakin meningkat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui karakteristik usia, jenis kelamin dan keluhan utama penderita GERD di poli penyakit dalam Rumah Sakit Al Islam Bandung tahun 2015. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan teknik pengambilan data menggunakan rekam medis penderita GERD yang dilakukan Simple Random Sampling dan pendekatan cross sectional. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 101 rekam medis. Penentuan ukuran subjek penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus slovin dimana di dapatkan jumlah minimal 101 subjek. Dari 101 penderita GERD di poli penyakit dalam Rumah Sakit Al Islam Bandung paling banyak termasuk ke dalam kelompok usia >40 tahun yaitu berjumlah 55 orang (54,45%). Mayoritas pasien yaitu berjenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 53 orang (52,47%). Paling banyak mengalami keluhan utama nyeri ulu hati yaitu sebanyak 36 orang (35,64%). Sisanya, mengeluhkan adanya nyeri dada, batuk, sesak nafas, kembung, mual, heartburn, odinofagia, nyeri tenggorokan, cegukan dan mulut terasa asam.
