Scoping Review: Pemberian Black Garlic untuk Menurunkan Tekanan Darah pada Subjek dengan Hipertensi

Abstract


Abstract. According to WHO (World Health Organization), the blood pressure limit that is considered normal is less than 130/85 mmHg. If the blood pressure is more than 140/90 mmHg, it is considered hypertension. One of the therapeutic options for hypertension is the provision of black garlic, which is a widely used herbal treatment for hypertension. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of black garlic on blood pressure in hypertension cases. This research method is a scoping review using articles from several databases analyzed with PICOS criteria as Eligible criteria on the appropriate Prism Flow Chart, namely Population (subjects with hypertension), Intervention (black garlic), Comparison (other therapies), Outcome (decrease in blood pressure). ), and Study (research type RCT / CT / Experimental). After analyzing and discussing the research on the effect of giving black garlic on blood pressure in hypertension cases, it is concluded that there is a positive effect of black garlic from extracts and its active substances in reducing blood pressure in hypertension both in experimental animals and in human subjects.

Abstrak. Menurut WHO (World Health Organization), batas tekanan darah yang dianggap normal adalah kurang dari 130/85 mmHg. Jika tekanan darah sudah lebih dari 140/90 mmHg dinyatakan hipertensi. Salah satu pilihan terapi untuk hipertensi yaitu pemberian bawang putih hitam (black garlic) yang merupakan pengobatan herbal yang banyak digunakan untuk hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efek pemberian  black garlic terhadap tekanan darah pada kasus  hipertensi. Metode penelitian ini adalah scoping review menggunakan artikel dari beberapa  database yang dianalisis dengan kriteria PICOS  sebagai kriteria Eligible pada Prisma Flow Chart yang sesuai yaitu Population (subjek dengan hipertensi), Intervention (black garlic), Comparison (terapi lain), Outcome (penurunan tekanan darah), dan Study (tipe penelitian RCT/CT/Eksperimental).   Setelah dilakukan analisis serta pembahasan dari penelitian mengenai pengaruh pemberian black garlic terhadap tekanan darah pada kasus hipertensi, maka disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dari blackgarlic dari ekstrak maupun zat aktifnya dalam menurunkan tekanan darah pada keadaan hipertensi baik pada hewan coba maupun pada subjek manusia.
