Scoping Review: Pengaruh Pemberian Kurma (Phoenix dactylifera) terhadap Peningkatan Jumlah Trombosit pada Penderita Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF)

Abstract


ABSTRACT: Thrombocytopenia can be caused by reduced production or increased destruction of platelets, an increase in the production of drug-induced antibodies that can destroy platelets and cause destruction or suppression of the bone marrow, and chemotherapy which is toxic to the bone marrow. The most common cause of thrombocytopenia in Indonesia is dengue hemorrhagic fever due to the dengue virus, which is transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which can cause platelet destruction. One of the alternative treatments that are believed to increase platelets is dates, because the content of dates is thought to increase the platelet count. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of giving dates to increase the platelet count of patients with dengue hemorrhagic fever. This research is a Scoping Review, by searching for articles from thedatabases Google Scholar, ProQuest, and Springer Link. There were 103 articles that matched the inclusion criteria and 100 articles that were included in the exclusion criteria. The results of the feasibility test based on the remaining PICOS articles are three articles. The results of the research from the three articles stated that the platelet count in giving dates increased significantly compared to that without giving dates. The conclusion of this study is, Dates have an effect on increasing the platelet count in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients, so that they can be used as a complementary therapy in dengue hemorrhagic fever patients. The increase in the number of platelets by dates is due to their content which contains vitamin B12, iron, cobalt, magnesium, Cu, Zn, amino acids, vitamin C, and vitamin B complex which can affect the thrombopoiesis process.

ABSTRAK: Trombositopenia dapat disebabkan oleh berkurangnya produksi atau meningkatnya penghancuran platelet, adanya peningkatan produksi antibodi yang diinduksi oleh obat sehingga dapat menghancurkan platelet serta menyebabkan perusakan atau penekanan dari sumsum tulang, dan kemoterapi yang bersifat toksik terhadap sumsum tulang. Penyebab trombositopenia tersering di Indonesia diakibatkan oleh penyakit demam berdarah dengue akibat virus dengue yang ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk aedes aegypti, sehingga dapat menyebabkan penghancuran platelet. Salah satu pengobatan alternatif yang diyakini dapat meningkatkan trombosit adalah kurma, karena kandungan kurma diduga dapat meningkatkan jumlah trombosit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis efektifitas pemberian kurma terhadap peningkatan jumlah trombosit pasien demam berdarah dengue. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur Scoping Review, dengan mencari artikel dari database Google Scholar, ProQuest, dan Springer Link. Artikel yang sesuai kriteria inklusi sebanyak 103 artikel dan yang termasuk dalam kriteria eksklusi sebanyak 100 artikel. Hasil uji kelayakan berdasar PICOS artikel yang tersisa sebanyak tiga artikel. Hasil penelitian dari tiga artikel menyatakan bahwa jumlah trombosit pada pemberian kurma meningkat secara signifikan dibandingkan tanpa pemberian kurma. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah, Kurma berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan jumlah trombosit pada pasien demam berdarah dengue, sehingga dapat dijadikan terapi komplementer pada pasien demam berdarah dengue. Peningkatan jumlah trombosit oleh kurma dikarenakan kandungannya yang mengandung vitamin B12, Besi, Kobalt, magnesium, Cu, Zn, asam amino, Vitamin C, dan vitamin B komplek yang dapat memengaruhi proses trombopoiesis.
