Scoping Review: Pengaruh Paparan Komponen Bensin terhadap Kerusakan Hepar Rattus

Abstract


Abstract. There has been an increase in the number of vehicles in Indonesia by 5-6% per year from 2014 to 2016 based on data published by the Central Statistics Agency. The impact of the increase in motorized vehicles will also increase the use of gasoline. Gasoline has toxic content, namely benzene, toluene, xylene, and lead. Exposure to gasoline is often associated with health problems, one of which is the liver. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exposure to gasoline components or its metabolites on damage to the liver structure of rats. This study uses the Scoping Review method to analyze, identify and evaluate scientific articles that match the inclusion and exclusion criteria. This study conducted screening using Eligibility Criteria with the population used by rats, gasoline exposure intervention, comparison of normal mice that were not exposed to gasoline and the outcome of damage to the rats' liver structure so that 936 articles were obtained and there were nine articles that met the eligibility. The results of this study indicate that there are changes in the hepatic cell structure of rats characterized by necrosis, inflammation, and enlargement of the hepatic portal vein. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an effect of exposure to gasoline components or its metabolites on the damage to the liver structure of rats by showing degenerative changes, necrosis, and the widening of the hepatic portal vein.

Abstrak. Peningkatan pada jumlah kendaraan di Indonesia sebesar 5-6% per tahunnya sejak 2014 sampai 2016 bedasarkan data yang dipublikasikan oleh Badan Pusat Statistik. Dampak dari peningkatan kendaraan bermotor akan meningkatkan juga dari penggunaan bensin. Bensin memiliki kandungan toksik yaitu benzene, toluene, xylen, dan lead. Paparan bensin sering dikaitkan dengan masalah pada kesehatan salah satunya pada organ hepar. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh paparan komponen bensin atau metabolitnya terhadap kerusakan struktur hepar tikus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Scoping Review untuk menganalisis, mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi maupun ekslusi. Penelitian ini melakukan skrining menggunakan kriteria kelayakan (Eligibility Criteria) dengan population yang digunakan tikus, intervention paparan bensin, comparison tikus normal yang tidak dipaparkan bensin dan outcome kerusakan struktur hepar tikus sehingga yang diperoleh yaitu 936 artikel dan terdapat sembilan artikel yang dapat memenuhi kelayakan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat perubahan pada struktur sel hepar tikus yang ditandai dengan adanya nekrosis, inflamasi, dan membesarnya vena portal hepatika. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh paparan komponen bensin atau metabolitnya terhadap kerusakan struktur hepar tikus dengan menunjukkan adanya perubahan degeneratif, nekrosis, melebarnya vena portal hepatika.
