Perbedaan Kebugaran Pekerja Shiftmalam dan Shift Pagi pada Pekerja Konstruksi Melalui Pengukuran V02 Maks

Abstract


Abstract. The construction worker could have an activity at night which could disturb the function of the circadian rhythm which have effects on body metabolism and cardiovascular system which can causes decreased of the physical fitness. Physical fitness can be measured by using VO2 max. This study aims to analyze  employee  physical fitness values by measuring the differences between the VO2 max of night shift and morning shift construction workers at CV D’Harith Bandung. The method used was cross sectional observational quantitative research analytical method with a total of 33 respondents in each morning shift and night shift group measured by purposive sampling. This research subjects were treated with the Harvard Astrand-Rhyming Test. The data was processedused the Dependent T test with the result mean VO2 max morning was 81.91±8.77 and mean VO2 max night was 80.6±7.73 and the result showed P=0.19.The processing categoric data used Cohen Kappa with the categoric result morning VO2 max and night VO2 max is average (14 and 18), above average (12 and 10), and excellent (7 and 5) with the result showed P value=0.00. Based from the result of processing data showed it can be concluded that there were no significant differences in physical fitness results with the measurements of VO2 max between morning shift and night shifts construction workers at CV D’Harith Bandung. It might be because construction workers already have a good physical fitnessrelated to factors such as age, workload, physical activity, genetics and heredity, environment, smoking, and medical history.

Abstrak. Pekerja konstruksi yang bekerja shiftmemiliki aktivitas pada malam hari yang dapat mengganggu dari fungsi ritme sirkadian. Gangguan dari fungsi ritme sirkadian dapat menimbulkan efek terhadap metabolisme dan sistem kardiovaskular yang berakibat pada penurunan kebugaran jasmani.Kebugaran jasmani dapat diukur menggunakan VO2 maks. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis perbedaan nilai kebugaran jasmani dengan pengukuran VO2maks terhadap pekerja shiftmalam dan shiftpagi pada tenaga kerja konstruksi CV D’Harith Bandung. Metode yang digunakan  metode analitik observasional kuantitatif desain penelitian cross sectional. Subjek penelitian menggunakan purposive samplingdengan jumlah 33 responden pada masing-masing kelompok shift pagi dan shiftmalam yang diberi perlakuan Test Harvard Astrand-Rhyming. Pengolahan data VO2 maks menggunakan Dependent T testdengan hasil meanVO2maks pagi 81.91±8.77 dan meanVO2maks malam 80.6±7.73 dengan nilai P=0.19. Pengolahan data kategorik menggunakanCohen Kappadengan jumlah kategorik VO2 maks pagi dan VO2 maks malam average (14 dan 18), above average (2 dan 10), excellent (7 dan 5) dengan hasil nilai P=0.00. Berdasarkan perhitungan tersebut hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan kebugaran jasmani yang signifikan dengan pengukuran VO2maks pada pekerja konstruksi shiftpagi dan shiftmalam di CV D’Harith Bandung. Hasil tersebut bisa diakibatkan karena kebugaran jasmani pekerja di perusahaan tersebut sudah baikterkait dengan faktor-faktor yaitu usia, beban kerja, aktivitas fisik, genetik dan keturunan, lingkungan, merokok, dan riwayat penyakit.
