Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dengan Konsentrasi pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Empat Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung Periode 2017 Hingga 2018

Abstract


Abstract.Concentration affects human activity and is influenced by many things, one of which is the quality of sleep. Today, many individuals have less sleep time. This of course affects the individual's sleep quality. This study aims to assess whether there is a correlation between concentration with sleep quality in fourth grade students of Medical Faculty of Islamic University of Bandung period 2017 to 2018. This study used analytical method and cross sectional design. A total of 46 samples fulfilled the inclusion and exclusion criteria and were taken by random sampling. The data was taken by filling out the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire and followed by a stroop test. Data analysis was done by Statistic Package for Social Science program version 21 (SPSS) based on statistical chi-square test. The results showed that students with poor sleep and poor concentration were 19 people (41,3%), students with poor sleep quality and good concentration were 17 people (36,9%), students with good sleep quality and poor concentration were 2 people (4,3%), students with good sleep quality and good concentration were 8 people (17,3%). and referring to Fisher's excact test, it was found that there was no correlation between concentration with sleep quality in fourth grade students of Medical Faculty Islamic University of Bandung period 2017 to 2018 p = 0,084. Some factors that influence concentration and quality of sleep are physical factors including fatigue, insomnia, hunger, menstrual cycle and density of class schedules.

Abstrak.Konsentrasi mempengaruhi aktivitas seseorang dan dipengaruhi oleh banyak hal, salah satunya adalah kualitas tidur. Dewasa ini, banyak individu yang memiliki waktu tidur yang kurang. Hal ini tentu saja mempengaruhi kualitas tidur individu tersebut yang kemudian berpengaruh terhadap konsentrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas tidur dan konsentrasi  pada mahasiswa tingkat empat Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Bandung periode 2017 hingga 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dan desain cross sectional. Jumlah sampel 46 orang yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang diambil secara random sampling. Untuk penilaian kualitas tidur menggunakan kuesioner Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) dan untuk penilaian konsentrasi menggunakan   stroop test. Analisis data dilakukan dengan program Statistic Package for Social Science version 21 (SPSS) dan menggunakan uji statistik chi square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa dengan kualitas tidur dan konsentrasi buruk berjumlah 19 orang (41,3%), mahasiswa dengan kualitas tidur buruk dan konsentrasi baik berjumlah 17 orang (36,9%), mahasiswa dengan kualitas tidur baik dan konsentrasi buruk berjumlah 2 orang (4,3%), mahasiswa dengan  kualitas tidur dan konsentrasi baik berjumlah 8 orang (17,3%). Mengacu pada fisher’s excact test didapatkan hasil p=0,084. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi konsentrasi dan kualitas tidur adalah faktor fisik meliputi kelelahan, insomnia, rasa lapar, menstruasi dan kepadatan jadwal kuliah.
