Hubungan Lamanya Kemoterapi dengan Risiko Neuropati Perifer pada Pasien Kanker Payudara di RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung

Abstract

Abstract. Breast cancer is the leading cause of death among women. In Indonesia there are still many women who suffer from breast cancer and continue to increase every year. Treatment of breast cancer such as chemotherapy that can trigger the occurrence of peripheral neuropathy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the chemotherapy period and age to the risk of peripheral neuropathy. This study is a analytic study with cross sectional design. Data obtained from questionnaires with the number of respondents 80 people. The data were processed using chi-square test. The results of the study showed that the  age category of chemotherapy ≥6 months that experienced peripheral neuropathy as many as 23 people while for chemotherapy period <6 months as many as 19 people. The result of statistic test showed no correlation between chemotherapy period with P-value 0,822 (P-value >0,05) . It occurs because many factors that influence it include age factors, clinical stages, general status / physical resistance, nutritional status, large doses, and the chemotherapy drugs period, thus providing the effects of different side effects.

Abstrak. Kanker payudara merupakan penyebab kematian utama pada kalangan wanita. Di Indonesia masih banyak wanita yang mengidap penyakit kanker payudara dan terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Pengobatan dari penyakit kanker payudara diantaranya adalah kemoterapi yang dapat memicu timbulnya neuropati perifer.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lama kemoterapi dan usia terhadap risiko neuropati perifer. Penelitian ini merupakan studi analitik dengan desain potong lintang. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner dengan jumlah responden 80 orang. Data diolah menggunakan uji hubungan Chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kategori lama kemoterapi ≥6 bulan yang mengalami neuropati perifer sebanyak 23 orang sedangkan lama kemoterapi <6 bulan  sebanyak 19 orang . Hasil uji statistik menunjukan tidak terdapat hubungan antara lama kemoterapi dengan nilai P-value sebesar 0,822 (P-value >0,05). Hal demikian terjadi karena banyak faktor yang mempengaruhinya antara lain  faktor usia, faktor stadium klinis, status umum/ketahanan fisik, status gizi, besar dosis, dan durasi pemberian dari obat kemoterapi, sehingga memberikan dampak efek samping yang berbeda-beda.
