The Influence of Total Quality Management and Organizational Culture on Managerial Performance (A Study on Indonesian Aerospace Inc. PT Dirgantara Indonesia)

Abstract


Managerial performance is an important element among the companies, which can help company achieve its goals. In achieving the goals, the company needs related supporting factors which are considered to influence the managerial performance. The total Quality Management is the maximize of competitiveness approach with continous improvement. While the organizational culture is a set of value recognized and adopted by all the stakeholders of the company. TQM is considered to improve competitiveness, especially in the globalization era due to quality of product improvement focused. Whereas the Organizational Culture is considered to increase performance due to adopted culture and its practice. In order to face MEA, all the companies expect to make improvement of each product including PT Dirgantara Indonesia. This study is conducted at PT Dirgantara Indonesia due to its problems. The company is not able to fulfill the aerospace delivery, aircraft selling below the deal capacity (6 units/year) and information system that is still not integrated. The purpose of this study is to know the influence of tqm on managerial performance and organizational culture on managerial performance. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu
explanatory dengan pendekatan survei. sumber data yang digunakan yaitu sumber data primer. Adapun
teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu dengan menggunakan kuisioner.Hasil penelitian
menunjukan bahwa TQM dan budaya organisasi berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap kinerja manajerial
sebesar 66,9% dimana didalamnya terdapat pengaruh secara parsial sebesar 24,6% dari tqm dan 42,4%
dari budaya organisasi.
The objects of this study are total quality management, organizational culture and managerial performance. The research method in this study is explanatory with survey approach. Data resource in this study are primary data.The data collecting technique in this study is a questionnaire.
The results of this study show that TQM and organizational culture bring significant influence to managerial performance up to 66,9% which 24.6% of it partially comes from TQM and 4,24% comes from organizational culture.
