The Relationship Between Discrimination, Race, and Religion In the Online Game Point Blank

Abstract

Online game is a fantasy means to entertain or comfort for its users. Many types of online games in the world, one of which is the online game Point Blank themed action shooting game or battle game. the online game Point Blank was established by Zeppto, a Korean company in 2009. Discrimination in the online game Point Blank often occurs among troopers. This can be seen clearly, when they play online games together from different places. This study observed problem of discrimination by using the right approach to prove whether there is a relationship between discrimination, race, and religion in the online game Point Blank at the game center in Bandung in 2015. The results of the study show that there is a correlation or strong relationship between racial and religious discrimination in the online game Point Blank. Thus, the existence of relationship between Race and Religious Discrimination in the online game Point Blank is very strong. The researchers suggest respecting and valuing one each other to provide comfort in playing in the game center.
