Hubungan antara Self Esteem dengan Perilaku Bullying pada Bully Victim di SDN Pelesiran Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. This research was conducted by SDN pelesiran problem in Bandung that their bullying behavior committed by offenders who have previously experienced oppression (bully victim). Self appreciation for the experience of oppression makes them give a negative assessment of themselves. To cover the powerlessness of things is to do with bullying behavior. The purpose of research is to see whether there is a relationship between self-esteem by bullying on the bully-victim in SDN pelesiran Bandung. The method used is correlational. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a sample size of 22 people. Measuring instruments used for self esteem is Self Esteem Inventory of Coopersmith (1967) which has been modified by the researchers, while the measuring tool bullying behavior made by researchers based on the type of bullying behavior Coroloso (2007). Scale use ordinal scale with Spearman correlation test. The hypothesis of this study is "the lower the self esteem, the higher the bullying on the bully victim in SDN pelesiran Bandung". Based on statistical data obtained correlation (rs) = -0699> 0 with α = 0.000 <0.050 and t hit = -3.99> t tab = 2.085. This means that there is a relationship between self-esteem by bullying on the bully victim in SDN pelesiran Bandung with the relationship is quite high and the confidence level (α) = 95%.


Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan masalah di SDN Pelesiran Bandung yaitu adanya perilaku bullying  yang dilakukan oleh pelaku yang sebelumnya pernah mengalami penindasan (bully victim). Penghayatan diri atas pengalaman penindasan tersebut membuat mereka memberikan penilaian negatif terhadap diri mereka. Untuk menutupi ketidakberdayaan tersebut hal yang dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan perilaku bullying. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan antara self esteem dengan perilaku bullying pada bully victim di SDN Pelesiran-Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah korelasional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 22 orang.  Alat ukur yang digunakan untuk self esteem adalah Self Esteem Inventory dari Coopersmith (1967) yang telah dimodifikasi oleh peneliti, sedangkan alat ukur perilaku bullying dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti berdasarkan jenis perilaku bullying dari Coroloso (2007). Skala yang gunakan skala ordinal dengan  uji korelasi Spearman. Hipotesis penelitian ini adalah “semakin rendah self esteem semakin tinggi perilaku bullying pada bully victim di SDN Pelesiran Bandungâ€. Berdasarkan data statistik diperoleh kolerasi (rs) = -0.699 > 0 dengan  dan nilai t hit = -3,99 > t tab = 2,085. Artinya terdapat hubungan antara self esteem dengan perilaku bullying pada bully victim di SDN Pelesiran Bandung dengan keeratan hubungan cukup tinggi dan taraf kepercayaan (  = 95%.
