Pengaruh Academic Self Efficacy Terhadap Student Engagement Pada Mahasiswa Selama Pembelajaran Dalam Jaringan (Daring)

Abstract. During online learning in the Covid-19 pandemic, it was found that academic self efficacy (ASE) of Bandung students was at a low level. ASE will determine the motivation, behavior, and learning objectives of students so that it is closely related to student engagement. ASE will determine the motivation, behavior, and learning objectives of students so that it is closely related to student engagement to students in Bandung during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. Measurements are performed using Academic Self Efficacy Scale and Online Student Engagement Scale. Sampling in this study using random sampling cluster method to 440 students from 8 universities in Bandung. The analysis is carried out with a simple linear regression test. The results stated that ASE (β= .673; p<.01) had a significant positive contribution of 45.3% to student engagement to students in Bandung during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.Of the four dimensions of academic self efficacy, the performance out of class dimension has the highest contribution in exerting influence on student engagement is 74.2%, interaction at school dimension has a contribution of 71.7%, dimensions of performance in class and managing work, family, school contributed 66.9%. Thus, the higher the level of academic self efficacy of students in Bandung, then there will also be a higher level of student engagement of students in Bandung during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstrak. Selama pembelajaran dalam jaringan (daring) di masa pandemi Covid-19, ditemukan academic self efficacy (ASE) mahasiswa Kota Bandung berada pada tingkat rendah. ASE akan menentukan motivasi, tingkah laku, dan tujuan belajar mahasiswa sehingga erat kaitannya dengan student engagement. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat pengaruh dari academi self efficacy terhadap student engagement pada mahasiswa Kota Bandung selama pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid-19. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menggunakan Academic Self Efficacy Scale dan Online Student Engagement Scale. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode cluster random sampling kepada 440 mahasiswa dari 8 perguruan tinggi di Kota Bandung. Analisis dilakukan dengan uji regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menyatakan ASE (β= .673; p<.01) memiliki kontribusi signifikan positif sebesar 45.3% terhadap student engagement pada mahasiswa di Kota Bandung selama pembelajaran daring di masa pandemic Covid-19. Dari keempat dimensi ASE, dimensi performance out of class memiliki kontribusi paling tinggi dalam memberikan pengaruh terhadap student engagement yaitu sebesar 74.2%, dimensi interaction at school memiliki kontribusi sebesar 71.7%, dimensi performance in class dan managing work, family, school berkontribusi sebesar 66.9%. Sehingga, semakin tinggi tingkat academic self efficacy mahasiswa Kota Bandung, maka akan semakin tinggi pula tingkat student engagement mahasiswa Kota Bandung saat pembelajaran daring selama pandemi Covid-19.
