Abstract

Abstract. During the Covid-19 pandemic, students were required to undergo online lecture activities so that it had an impact on changing situations and conditions for students while at home. The daily routine of students who improve with their families is quite strong during the lockdwon period where students spend more time with their parents. This will have an impact on the quality of the relationship between students and parents. The quality of the relationship with parents can be seen from how students perceive parental acceptance and rejection. Students who perceive rejection can affect their psychology. A disorder that has been prone to occur in students since the existence of Covid-19 is depression. The purpose of the study was to look at the perception of parental acceptance-rejection and depression as well as the relationship between the perception of acceptance-rejection and depression in Unisba's final year students during the Covid-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional quantitative research method with correlation studies. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank Correlation Test. The measuring instrument used by Rohner's Adult PAR-Q (2004) was adapted by Indrijanti Mali Limanta in 2018 and BDI-II from Aaron Beck (1992) adapted by Murad, Rusli, and Lubis in 2000 (Oktavia, 2002). The sample in this study were 102 Unisba students. The results of the perception correlation value for father and depression (r) was 0.225 * on the perception of mothers with depression of 0.381 ** and the significance value (â´) was 0.000 (â´ <0.05). It can be concluded that there is a statistically significant weak relationship on the perception of parental acceptance-rejection and depression in the final year Unisba students.
