Hubungan Life Satisfaction dan Calling pada Pengurus Panti Jompo Welas Asih Tasikmalaya

Abstract

Abstract. Many individuals have a calling at a particular job but do not undergo the call because of the doubts that arise if following a call that can make an individual not get the satisfaction of his life. but not all individuals ignore a “calling†that appears within them, one of them is the caregiver of a nursing home Welas Asih Tasikmalaya. With the various problems they experience in their work they are still able to live up to their calling in this profession. The purpose of this study was to obtain data on how closely the relationship between calling and life satisfaction with the caregivers of the Welas Asih Nursing Home is. This research uses Duffy & Dik's theory concept to discuss calling and uses Ed Diener's concept to discuss life satisfaction. The research method used is correlation with Rank Spearman analysis technique. To measure the degree of calling, the researcher used the Calling and Vocation Questionnaire (CVQ) and used the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) measurement tool to measure the degree of life satisfaction. the researcher used the entire population to become the research subject (n = 15). The results showed that there was a positive relationship between these two variables with a score of rs = 0.705, which means that the higher the calling, the higher the life satisfaction.

Abstrak. Dalam kehidupannya banyak individu yang memiliki sebuah calling pada suatu pekerjaan tertentu tetapi tidak menjalani panggilan tersebut karena adanya keraguan yang muncul jika mengikuti panggilan yang dapat membuat individu tidak mendapatkan kepuasan hidupnya. Namun, tidak semua individu mengabaikan sebuah panggilan yang muncul dalam diri mereka salah satunya adalah para pengurus di Panti Jompo Welas Asih Tasikmalaya. Dengan berbagai permasalahan yang mereka alami dalam pekerjaannya mereka tetap mampu menjalani panggilannya dalam profesi ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh data mengenai seberapa erat hubungan antara calling dan life satisfaction pada pengurus Panti Jompo Welas Asih. Penelitian menggunakan konsep teori Duffy & Dik untuk membahas calling dan menggunakan konsep Ed Diener untuk membahas life satisfaction. Metode penelitan yang digunakan adalah korelasi dengan teknik analisis Rank Spearman. Untuk mengukur derajat calling peneliti menggunakan Calling and Vocation Questionnaire (CVQ) dan menggunakan alat ukur Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) untuk mengukur derajat kepuasan hidup. peneliti menggunakan seluruh populasi untuk menjadi subjek penelitian (n=15). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara kedua variabel ini dengan skor rs=0,705 yang berarti semakin tinggi calling maka semakin tinggi pula life satisfaction.
