Studi Deskriptif Tentang Keterlibatan Orang Tua dalam Pendidikan di TK X Bandung

Abstract


Abstract. Preschoolers children usually participate in Early Childhood Education programs or Kindergarten. Kindergarten aims to optimize children’s development and prepare children for the next level of education. The success of education is supported by the role of parents. This research is the population study at TK X Bandung which aims to observe the involvement of parent in education in order to prepare the success of child in the next level of education. Fantuzzo, Tighe, and Childs (2000) revealed there are 3 dimensions of parental involvement in education such as Home-Based Involvement, School-Based Involvement, and Home-School Conferencing. The research subjects is 32 parents which consist of 31 mothers and 1 father. The measuring instrument is from Fantuzzo, namely the Family Involvement Questionnaire with the reliability of 0,949 and a validity of  rs > 0,349. The technique analysis used is descriptive quantitative technique by showing the results that the parental involvement at TK X Bandung is in the high category.

Abstrak. Anak prasekolah biasanya mengikuti program Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini atau Taman Kanak. Taman Kanak-Kanak memiliki tujuan untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak dan menyiapkan anak ke jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Keberhasilan pendidikan ditunjang oleh peran dari orangtua. Penelitian ini merupakan studi populasi di TK X Bandung yang bertujuan melihat keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan untuk menyiapkan keberhasilan anak di jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Fantuzzo, Tighe, dan Childs (2000) mengatakan terdapat 3 dimensi dalam keterlibatan orangtua dalam pendidikan, yaitu keterlibatan di sekolah, keterlibatan di rumah, dan hubungan orangtua-sekolah. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 32 orang yang terdiri dari 31 orang ibu dan 1 orang ayah. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah alat ukur dari Fantuzzo yaitu Family Involvement Questionnaire dengan reliabilitas 0,949 dan validitas rs > 0,349. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menunjukkan hasil bahwa keterlibatan orang tua di TK X Bandung termasuk pada kategori tinggi.
