Studi Deskriptif Mengenai Perceived Social Support pada Narapidana Perempuan

Abstract


Abstract—Prisoners are convicted based on a court decision that has obtained permanent legal force. Prisoners are obliged to serve a sentence in a prison. Female prisoners have a different characteristic from other prisoners. Female prisoners experience various problems in prison. Social support is important for female prisoners to overcome their problems in prison. Social support, in this case, perceived social support more impact on female prisoners than received social support. Perceived social support is a person's belief that there are sources of social support available when needed. This study aims to describe perceived social support by female prisoners in a femele prison class II A Bandung. The research method used is descriptive method with a sample size of 79 female prisoners. The results showed that in general, female prisoners had a high perception of social support. As many as 83.5% of female prisoners felt that social support was in the high category and a total of 16.5% had the perception of social support in the low category. The order of the source of perceived social support in this study is firstly support from a special person with a mean value of 20.46, secondly family support with a mean value of 20.30, and finally support from friends with a mean value of 18.04.

Abstrak—Narapidana adalah terpidana berdasarkan putusan pengadilan yang telah memperoleh kekuatan hukum tetap. Narapidana wajib menjalani pidana di lembaga pemasyarakaan. Narapidana perempuan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dari narapidana lain. Narapidana perempuan mengalami berbagai permasalahan di lapas. Dukungan sosial penting bagi narapidana perempuan untuk mengatasi permasalahannya di lapas. Dukungan sosial dalam hal ini perceived social support lebih akan memberikan dampak bagi narapidana perempuan daripada received social support. Perceived social support adalah keyakinnan seseorang bahwa ada sumber dukungan sosial tersedia untuknya ketika diperlukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perceived social support pada narapidana perempuan di lembaga pemasyarakatan perempuan kelas II A Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 79 narapidana perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bahwa secara umum narapidana perempuan memiliki perceived social support  dengan kategori tinggi. Sejumlah 83.5% narapidana perempuan memiliki perceived social support  dengan kategori tinggi dan sejumlah 16.5% memiliki perceived social support  dengan kategori rendah. Keurutan sumber perceived social support pada penelitian ini adalah pertama dukungan orang yang istimewa dengan nilai mean 20.46, kedua dukungan keluarga dengan nilai mean 20.30, dan terakhir dukungan teman nilai mean 18.04.
