Hubungan antara Kepribadian dan Konflik Peran Ganda pada Karyawati Unisba

Abstract


Abstract. An employee is required to work to fulfill a job role and to take care of the family, which often causes him to experience problems because there are two demands between work and family. The problems include reduced time for husbands and children. This problem is also felt by educators and educators who are mostly women, as happened to female education staff and lecturers at Unisba. Conflicts that occur due to multiple roles are influenced by various factors, one of which is internal factors, namely personality. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between personality and work family conflict in Unisba employees. The research subjects were 47 lecturers and educators who were married and had children under 6 years of age. The data collection method in this study used a questionnaire measuring tool for work family conflict and big five inventory with a Likert scale. The technique of distributing questionnaires was carried out using purposive sampling. The data analysis tool used was the Pearson rank correlation. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it shows that there is a strong relationship between extraversion and work family conflict in Unisba employees with a correlation coefficient (r = -0.685). There is a strong relationship between agreableness and work family conflict in Unisba employees with a correlation coefficient value (r = -0.685). There is a strong relationship between the conscientiousness factor and work family conflict among Unisba employees with a correlation coefficient value (r = -0.687). Neuroticism factor has a positive relationship with work family conflict among Unisba employees with a correlation coefficient value (0.335). There is a strong relationship between openness to experience, not related to work family conflict among Unisba employees with a correlation coefficient (r = -0.628).

Abstrak. Seorang karyawati dituntut harus bekerja memenuhi peran pekerjaan dan harus mengurus keluarga, yang sering membuatnya mengalami permasalahan karena ada dua tuntutan antara pekerjaan dan keluarga. Permasalahan itu diantaranya waktu yang berkurang untuk suami dan anak. Permasalahan tersebut dirasakan juga oleh para pendidik dan tenaga pendidik yang sebagian besar wanita, seperti halnya yang terjadi pada tenaga kependidikan dan dosen perempuan di Unisba. Konflik yang terjadi akibat peran ganda dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satu diantaranya adalah faktor internal yaitu kepribadian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara personality dan work family conflict pada karyawati Unisba. Subjek penelitian adalah dosen dan tenaga pendidik yang telah menikah dan memiliki anak dibawah usia 6 tahun sebanyak 47 orang. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner alat ukur work family conflict dan big five inventory dengan Skala Likert. Teknik penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi rank pearson. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara  extraversion dengan work family conflict pada karyawati Unisba dengan nilai koefisien korelasi  (r=-0.685). Terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara agreableness dengan work family conflict pada karyawati Unisba dengan nilai  koefisien korelasi  (r=-0.685).  Terdapat hubungan  yang kuat antara faktor  conscientiousness  dengan work family conflict pada  karyawati Unisba dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r=-0.687). Faktor neuroticism  berhubungan positif dengan work family conflict pada karyawati Unisba dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (0.335). Terdapat hubungan yang kuat antara openness to experience tidak berhubungan dengan work family conflict pada karyawati Unisba dengan nilai koefisien korelasi (r=-0.628).
