Studi Deskriptif Mengenai Gambaran Pengalaman Flow pada Aktor Teater

Abstract


Abstract. Art is a part of human life, because art is not only a process of awareness for the audience, but of course for the performer. The actors can create a sense of empathy in him, understand life more than anyone. In the pre-survey conducted by researchers, it was found that there were theater groups that had remained active since 1973 and gained valuable experiences compared to other theater groups. It was found that there are 15 actors who are still active and playing a role each year. They agreed that their role allowed them to gain valuable experience and to better understand themselves and their surroundings. This study used a population study technique with 15 research subjects. The method used in this research is descriptive study research method. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire about flow experience (FSS-2) (Jackson & Marsh, 1996) with a reliability coefficient value of 0.978. The data obtained are ordinal data. The results showed that 11 actors experienced intense flow, 3 actors experienced flow but not intense and 1 actor did not experience flow. The dimension found to be high in all subjects is a sense of control. Suggestions from researchers for actors in the Bel Bandung Theater group to be able to experience flow, the need to determine goals in becoming an actor, improve skills, ask for a portion of training from the director and know his ability when playing.

Abstrak. Seni merupakan bagian dari kehidupan manusia, karena seni tidak hanya proses penyadaran bagi penikmatnya namun tentunya bagi pelakunya. Para pelaku seni peran dapat menciptakan rasa empati dalam dirinya, memahami kehidupan lebih dari siapapun. Dalam pra-survei yang dilakukan oleh peneliti didapatkan bahwa terdapat kelompok teater yang tetap berkegiatan sejak tahun 1973 dan mendapatkan pengalaman-pengalaman berharga dibanding kelompok teater lain. Didapatkan bahwa terdapat 15 aktor yang masih aktif dan berperan tiap tahunnya. Mereka sepakat bahwa berperan membuat mereka mendapatkan pengalaman berharga dan dapat lebih memahami diri dan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik studi populasi dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 15 orang. metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian studi deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner mengenai pengalaman flow (FSS-2) (Jackson & Marsh, 1996) dengan nilai koefisien reliabilitas sebesar 0.978 . Data yang diperoleh merupakan data ordinal. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa 11 aktor mengalami flow yang intens, 3 aktor mengalami flow namun tidak intens dan 1 aktor tidak mengalami flow. Dimensi yang ditemukan tinggi pada seluruh subjek adalah sense of control. Saran dari peneliti agar aktor dalam kelompok Teater Bel Bandung untuk dapat mengalami flow, perlunya menentukan tujuan dalam menjadi aktor, meningkatkan keterampilan, meminta porsi latihan pada sutradara dan mengetahui kemampuan dirinya saat berperan.
