Hubungan Komitmen Beragama Islam dengan Academic Self-Efficacy pada Mahasiswa UNISBA

Abstract. Religious beliefs not only develops a positive mindset, but also develops the ability to deal with different and stressful situations which are cognitive processes of self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to find out how close the relationship between Islamic Religious Commitment and Academic Self-Efficacy in college student at Unisba. The measure of Islamic Religious Commitment used was the Islamic Religious Commitment questionare from Kahfi (2015) based on dimensions of Islamic Religious Commitment which stated by Ancok & Nashori (1994), while the measurement of Academic Self-Efficacy used was the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale from Gafoor and Ashraf (2006) based on social cognitive theory from Bandura (1997). The population of this study was college students in UNISBA. There were 379 students of sample which consists 75% of female student and 25% of male student, selected by used accidental sampling. The average of students were class of 2016 with standard deviation = 0,9. Processing data using statictical methods with Rank Spearman correlation test. The result showed r = 0,533 and p = 0,000 which means there is a positive and quite significant relation between Islamic Religious Commitment and Academic Self-Efficacy. Suggestions for students are to practice improving behaviors that indicate a low level of Islamic Commitment and for the university to apply Islamic values regularly so that students appreciate the Islamic experience.

Abstrak. Keyakinan beragama pada individu tidak hanya membuat pola pikir yang positif, tetapi juga mengembangkan kemampuan menghadapi situasi yang berbeda dan penuh tekanan yang merupakan proses kognitif pada self efficacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan antara Komitmen Beragama Islam dengan Academic Self-Efficacy pada mahasiswa UNISBA. Komitmen Beragama Islam diukur menggunakan skala Komitmen Beragama Islam yang dikonstruksikan oleh Kahfi (2015) dari dimensi Komitmen Beragama Islam yang dikemukakan oleh Ancok dan Nashori (1994), sedangkan Academic Self-Efficacy diukur menggunakan Academic Self Efficacy Scale yang dikonstruksikan oleh Gafoor dan Ashraf (2006) dari teori Sosial Kognitif Bandura (1997). Populasi penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Aktif beragama Islam di Universitas Islam Bandung. Terdapat 379 mahasiswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian terdiri 75% perempuan dan 25% laki-laki dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Rata-rata responden berasal dari angkatan 2016 dengan standar deviasi = 0,9. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan r = 0,533 dan p = 0,000 artinya terdapat korelasi positif yang signifikan cukup  kuat antara komitmen beragama Islam dengan academic self-efficacy. Saran untuk mahasiswa adalah untuk berlatih meningkatkan perilaku-perilaku yang mengindikasikan Komitmen Beragama Islam yang rendah serta untuk pihak universitas untuk menerapkan nilai-nilai Islam secara berkala agar mahasiswa menghayati pengalaman tersebut.
