Hubungan Antara Self Efficacy dengan Work Procrastination pada Karyawan Divisi Produksi PT Maco Bandung.

Abstract


Abstract. This study aims to examine the relationship of self efficacy and work procrastination. The subjects of this study were employees of the production division of PT. Maco Bandung. The number of subjects is 50 employees. The research method used is questionnaire. For the self efficacy questionnaire proposed by Bandura (1997) and for the procrastination questionnaire the Steel General Work Procrastination Scale (GPS) was used. This data was analyzed using SPSS 25.0 for Windows. Correlation technique uses the Spearman rank correlation because the data distribution used is ordinal. The results of the study showed a significant negative correlation between self efficacy and work procrastination (r = -0.697; p = 0.000). self efficacy clearly plays an important role in the tendency of work procrastination by employees. Self efficacy will be able to make individuals avoid work procrastination because of the belief to be able to do a task without having to sink with difficulties that arise in a task.

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara self efficacy dan work procrastination . Subjek penelitian ini adalah karyawan divisi produksi PT. Maco Bandung. Jumlah subjek adalah 50 karyawan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kusioner. Untuk kusioner self efficacy yang dikemukakan oleh Bandura (1997) dan untuk kuesioner prokrastinasi digunakan General Work procrastination Scale (GPS) dari Steel. Data ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS 25.0 for Windows. Teknik korelasi menggunakan Spearman rank correlation karena sebaran data yang digunakan bersifat ordinal. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi negatif yang signifikan antara self efficacy dan work procrastination (r =-0.697; p = 0,000). self efficacy jelas memainkan peranan penting terhadap kecenderungan work procrastination yang dilakukan karyawan. Self efficacy akan dapat menjadikan individu terhindar dari work procrastination dikarenakan adanya keyakinan untuk dapat  melakukan suatu tugas tanpa harus terpuruk dengan kesulitan yang muncul dalam suatu tugas.
