Hubungan Perceived Organizational Support dengan Work Engagement pada Mandor di Perusahaan "X" BKPH "Y" KPH Bogor

Abstract


Abstract. Company X is a company in the field of forest management that is experiencing a decline in corporate profits. To return the company to a stable condition, company X increased the revenue target for each KPH. However, many KPH’s have difficulty achieving new targets, one of which is the KPH Bogor which consists of 5 BKPH. This happened because most of the BKPH in Bogor KPH had difficulty adjusting to the new company targets. However, among some BKPH who experience difficulties, this condition does not occur in BKPH Y, which is actually able to reach the target or even exceed the set. The foreman at BKPH Y has a high work engagement, enthusiasm and enthusiasm at work. One of the things that drives the engagement of the foreman's work is perceived organizational support. The purpose of this study was to empirical data on how closely the relationship between perceived organizational support with work engagement on the foreman in company X BKPH Y KPH Bogor. This research is a correlational study with a population of 31 foremen. Data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. Measuring instruments used were Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) from Eisenberger et al (1984) and Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) -17 from Schaufeli and Bakker (2006). The data analysis technique used is the Spearman Rank correlation and obtained rs 0.626 with p = 0,000, which shows there is a positive relationship between perceived organizational support and work engagement. This means that the higher perceived organizational support, the higher the work engagement of the foreman in the Company X BKPH Y KPH Bogor.

Abstrak. Perusahaan X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang pengelolaan hutan yang sedang mengalami penurunan laba perusahaan. Untuk mengembalikan keadaan perusahaan pada kondisi stabil, perusahaan X meningkatkan target pendapatan pada setiap KPH. Namun, banyak KPH yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mencapai target baru yang dibuat, salah satunya yaitu KPH Bogor yang terdiri dari 5 BKPH. Hal tersebut terjadi karena sebagian besar BKPH di KPH Bogor mengalami kesulitan melakukan penyesuaian dengan target perusahaan yang baru. Namun, diantara beberapa BKPH yang mengalami kesulitan, kondisi tersebut tidak terjadi pada BKPH Y yang justru mampu mencapai target bahkan melebihi dari yang ditetapkan. Mandor di BKPH Y memiliki keterikatan kerja yang tinggi, semangat dan antusias dalam bekerja. Salah satu hal yang mendorong keterikatan kerja mandor adalah dukungan organisasi yang dirasakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh data empiris mengenai seberapa erat hubungan antara perceived organizational support dengan work engagement pada mandor di perusahaan X BKPH Y KPH Bogor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 31 mandor. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS) dari Eisenberger et al (1984) dan Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES)-17 dari Schaufeli dan Bakker (2006). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah korelasi Rank Spearman dan diperoleh rs 0,626 dengan p= 0,000, yang menunjukkan terdapat hubungan positif antara perceived organizational support dengan work engagement. Hal ini berarti semakin tinggi perceived organizational support maka semakin tinggi work engagement pada mandor di Perusahaan X BKPH Y KPH Bogor.
