Hubungan antara Work-Family Conflict dengan Kualitas Hidup pada Ibu Bekerja di Kota Bandung

Abstract. Nowadays there is a lot of mothers who choose to work, so they have two roles in their life, as a mother and as a career woman. Both roles often conflicted with each other, between being a housewife and a career woman, make it difficult for them to perform both roles to the maximum. It causes working mothers feel anxiety and tension. The situation that working mothers experienced called Work Family Conflict. Sumra dan Schillaci (2015) said that women who have multiple roles will experienced higher stress. The stress experienced by working mothers is also the most influential predictor in worsening their quality of life (Cimete, Gencalp, & G Keskin, 2003; Hardani, 2016). This research purpose is to see the correlation between work-family conflict and quality of life of working mothers who work at banks in Bandung. The data research questionnaire of quality of life was arranged by WHOQOL and questionnaire of work-family conflict were arranged by Carlson and Kacmar, both questionnaires were spread to 304 working mothers that work at the bank, married, and has children. This research was conducted using a quantitative method and using mutistage cluster random sampling method. The results of data analysis using Spearman's Rho showed a correlation between work-family conflict and the quality of life of working mothers. The data obtained is that there is a fairly close negative relationship between work-family conflict and quality of life with a correlation coefficient of -0.601, with a negative correlation direction.

Abstrak. Saat ini sudah banyak ibu yang memilih untuk bekerja, sehingga mereka memiliki dua peran dalam hidupnya yaitu sebagai ibu dan juga sebagai wanita karir. Kedua peran yang dimiliki saling bertentangan antara menjadi ibu rumah tangga dan wanita karir hal tersebut membuat mereka kesulitan untuk menjalankan masing-masing peran secara maksimal. Hal tersebut  menyebabkan ibu yang bekerja mengalami kecemasan dan ketegangan. Keadaan yang dialami itu, disebut dengan Work Family Conflict (Nofrizal, 2017). Sumra dan Schillaci (2015) mengatakan wanita yang memiliki peran ganda akan mengalami stres yang lebih tinggi. Stres yang dialami ibu yang bekerja juga menjadi salah satu prediktor terkuat memburuknya kualitas hidup (Cimete, Gencalp, & G Keskin, 2003; Hardani, 2016). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan antara work-family conflict dengan kualitas hidup pada ibu yang bekerja di sektor perbankan di Kota Bandung. Data penelitian diperoleh dari item pertanyaan terkait kualitas hidup yang disusun oleh WHOQOL dan work-family conflict yang disusun oleh Carlson dan Kacmar yang dibagikan kepada 304 ibu yang bekerja di sektor perbankan dengan status menikah dan memiliki anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik sampling Mutistage cluster random. Hasil analisa data menggunakan Spearman’s Rho menunjukan hubungan pada work-family conflict dan kualitas hidup ibu yang bekerja. Data yang diperoleh yaitu terdapat hubungan negatif yang cukup erat antara work-family conflict dan kualitas hidup dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar -0,601, dengan arah korelasi negatif.
