Abstract

Abstract. SLB’s teachers face many difficult conditions or situations in teaching because it is not easy to manage students who have limited vision.  Many demands of the tasks that must be undertaken make the teacher feel that this is a challenge that must be resolved. Despite the many obstacles, the teacher persists and believes that the efforts made will achieve the expected results. Teachers believe they can teach their students well, and  happy when they see the students who teached by them have experience positive development. Confidence in self-ability is related to Bandura's self-efficacy, while satisfaction with life and perceived experience are related to subjective well-being of Diener. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data and an overview of how correlation of self-efficacy with subjective wel-being to SLBN A Bandung teachers. The research method used quantitative with correlational design. The population in this study were 15 lay-watchers at SLBN A Bandung. The measuring instrument used for the self-efficacy variable was constructed by researchers based on the theory according to Bandura (1997), for variable subjective wel-being using the standard SWLS and SPANE measurement tools from Diener & Griffin (1985) which were modified by Fathiana (2016). The data analysis technique uses Spearman Rank correlation. The results showed that there was a strong positive correlation that was equal to r = 0.764 between self-efficacy and subjective wel-being. It means, if self-efficacy is high, subjective wel-being will be high and conversely. So the proposed hypothesis is accepted.
