Hubungan antara Perceived Emotional Support dengan Subjective Well-Being Pada Pasien Hemodialisis di Rumah Sakit Al Islam Bandung

Abstract


Abstract.Chronic kidney disease is a progressive and irreversible kidney disease in which a lifetime hemodialysis therapy is needed, which aims to replace and prolong the kidney function. Hemodialysis has a negative impact on the patient’s physical and psychological, especially on the emotional aspect. On the other hand, researcher found that in Al Islam Hospital Bandung, the patients could recovered in a short time. Patients feel their lives are overwhelmed by many positive feelings and satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the closeness of the correlation between perceived emotional support and subjective well-being of hemodialysis patient in Al Islam Hospital Bandung. The method used is a statistical calculation of coefficient correlation test, Rank Spearman. The study were examined to a population of 35 hemodialysis patients. The instrument was questionnaire modified from Pratiwi which is based on social support theory by Sarafino (2011) and subjective well-being which consists of SPANE (Diener, 2009) and SWLS (Diener, 1985). The data obtained is ordinal. The result of this study shows a positive correlation value of 0,731 between perceived emotional support and positive affect, negative correlation value of -0,506 between perceived emotional support and negative affect and positive correlation value of 0,429 between perceived emotional support and life satisfaction.

Abstrak. Gagal ginjal kronis merupakan gangguan fungsi ginjal yang bersifat progresif dan irreversible sehingga terapi hemodialisis diperlukan seumur hidupnya, yang bertujuan untuk menggantikan dan memperpanjang fungsi ginjal. Hemodialisis memberikan dampak negatif pada fisik maupun psikologis pasien khususnya pada aspek emosional. Namun di RSAI Bandung, peneliti menemukan bahwa pasien dapat pulih dalam waktu yang tidak berlangsung lama. Pasien merasa hidupnya banyak diliputi oleh perasaan-perasaan positif dan kepuasan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keeratan hubungan antara perceived emotional support dengan subjective well-being pada pasien hemodialisis di RSAI Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah korelasional dengan perhitungan statistik uji koefisien korelasi Rank Spearman. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah studi populasi pada 35 pasien hemodialisis. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini berupa kuesioner dengan alat ukur perceived emotional support yang dimodifikasi dari Pratiwi (2018) berdasarkan teori Sarafino (2011) dan alat ukur subjective well-being yang terdiri dari SPANE (Diener, 2009) dan SWLS (Diener, 1985). Data yang diperoleh merupakan data ordinal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang erat sebesar 0,731 antara perceived emotional support dengan afek positif, hubungan negatif yang cukup erat sebesar -0,506 dengan afek negatif dan hubungan positif yang cukup erat sebesar 0,429 dengan life satisfaction.
