Analisis Kinerja Belt Conveyor sebagai Penunjang Produksi pada Penambangan Batu Andesit di PT. Mandiri Sejahtera Sentra, Gunung Miun, Desa Sukamulya, Kecamatan Tegalwaru, Kabupaten Purwakarta, Provinsi Jawa Barat

Abstract


Andesit processing, by PT. Mandiri Sejahtera Sentra done at Cikakak, Sukamulya Village, Tegalwuru Sub-District, Purwakata Regency, West Java Province.  Andesit processed has 41,19 Ha area with open cut mining system. Andesit processing at PT Mandiri Sejahtera Sentra using 3 step process as primary crushing, secondary crushing and tertiary crushing. In every step of andesit processing using belt conveyor as the main transportation. Belt conveyor used 13 units. Many industry using belt conveyor as material transportation. So to increase the belt conveyor performance needs to analysis of belt conveyor performance. The analysis include material characteristics, materials grain size analysis, calculating belt conveyor capacity, idler condition to belt conveyor life time. From the analysis that done to belt conveyor performance obtained material characteristic verification to belt conveyor design is suitable as literature, the relation of performance with loading can seen with motor ampere using each belt conveyor (CV-01 empty 25,8 A, loading 209,3A), there are belt conveyor capacity calculate theoretical and actual (actual percentage to theoretical CV-01 102,47%, CV-04 60,58%)  this is due to material uniformity transported on each different belt conveypr and belt conveyor lifetime condition will decrease due to critical condition belt conveyor ampere using and broken idler condition.

 

Pengolahan bahan galian andesit oleh PT. Mandiri Sejahtera Sentra dilakukan di Kampung Cikakak, Desa Sukamulya, Kecamatan Tegalwaru, Kabupaten Purwakarta, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Bahan galian andesit yang diolah memiliki luas area 41,19 Ha dengan sistem penambangan open cut. Kegiatan pengolahan andesit di PT Mandiri Sejahtera Sentra menggunakan 3 proses tahapan yaitu primary crushing, secondary crushing, dan tertiary crushing. Dalam setiap tahapan pengolahan andesit digunakan belt conveyor sebagai alat angkut utama. Belt conveyor yang digunakan sebanyak 13 buah. Banyak industri yang menggunakan belt conveyor sebagai alat transportasi material. Sehingga, untuk meningkatkan kinerja belt conveyor tersebut perlu dilakukan analisis terhadap kinerja belt conveyor. Analisis yang dilakukan meliputi karakteristik material, analisis ukuran butir, perhitungan kapasitas belt conveyor, keadaan idler hingga lifetime belt conveyor. Dari analisis yang dilakukan terhadap kinerja belt conveyor didapatkan verifikasi karakteristik material terhadap desain belt conveyor sudah sesuai literarur, adanya hubungan kinerja terhadap pembebanan yang dilihat pada pemakaian ampere motor masing-masing belt conveyor (CV-01 kosong 25,8 A, pembebanan 29,3 A), terdapat perbedaan perhitungan kapasitas belt conveyor secara teoritis dan aktual (persentase aktual terhadap teoritis CV-01 102,47 %, CV-04 60,58 %), hal ini disebabkan keseragaman material yang diangkut pada masing-masing belt conveyor berbeda   dan kondisi lifetime belt conveyor yang akan berkurang seiring pemakaian ampere motor belt conveyor kondisi kritis dan keadaan idler yang rusak.
