Hammer Crusher Optimization On Pt Semen Padang Lubuk Kilangan District, Padang City, Sumatera Barat

Abstract


PT Semen Padang has two crushing plants which located in the front and
back area. Each has different production target. On the front area (only LSC II)
has a 262.100 ton/month production target. The back area has two crushers:
LSC IIIA with 211.200 ton/month and LSC IIIB with 218.400 ton/month of
production target. Therefore, the total production for limestone crusher is 692.000
ton/month. In the field, there are some issues that cause the failure to reach it.
This research aims to: (1) learn production target affecting factors, (2)
evaluate limestone crusher IIIA and IIIB performances, (3) calculate and assess
limestone crusher IIIA and IIIB feasibility level, (4) conduct improvements
simulation to increase limestone crusher IIIA and IIIB performances.
Improvements that can be done are: determining day shift and adding
more feed into limestone crusher IIIA and IIIB. If those were done, the production
target for limestone crusher IIIA can reach 187.419,456 ton/month, IIIB
306.224,05 ton/month.
