Abstract


 Abstract: Berau Coal Company is coal mining companies located in Berau, East Kalimantan province to implement the Surface Mining Method where the general management of surface water (surface water management) which is usually applied consists of the activities of mine drainage , mine dewatering, separation (separation of natural and disturbed water) and sediment control. The research was conducted using Geographic Information System (GIS) which is a method that can be used in conducting hydrological analysis based on spatial data, especially in calculating runoff due to flooding. The method used in calculating runoff due to rain uses the Rational method, with the initial data used in the form of landuse map, topography, and hydrological data of daily rainfall data. GIS is used to calculate variables in the rational method equation with overlay analysis that is available in ArcGis 10.3. ArcGIS software also be used as a program in displaying hydrological information based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at PT. Berau Coal pit locations. Information on digital-based hydrological conditions is of course very necessary for engineers of PT. Berau Coal as a means to make decisions and policies that will be carried out in monitoring the hydrological conditions in the PT. Coal Coal pit. The results of the study obtained can be calculated Log Pearson III distribution, Mononobe equation, and rational formula for runoff discharge. The amount of planned discharge due to rainfall from GIS processing results in runoff discharge based on channel segments, namely segment 1 = 3.259 m3 / s, segment 2 = 7.169 m3 / s, segment 3 = 3.912 m3 / s and segment 4 = 14.340 m3 / s. From the results of calculations using the Manning equation obtained puritan dimensions of segment 1 with channel opening width = 1.957 m, channel height (h) = 1.607 m, and channel base width (b) = 1.339 m.

Abstrak: PT.Berau Coal merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang penambangan batubara yang berlokasi di kabupaten Berau, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur dengan menerapkan Sistem Tambang Terbuka (Surface Mining) di mana secara umum manajemen air permukaan (surface water management) yang  biasa diterapkan terdiri dari kegiatan mine drainage, mine dewatering, separation (pemisahan air alami dan terganggu) dan sedimentcontrol. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) dapat digunakan  untuk analisa hidrologi dengan berbasis data spasial, khususnya dalam menghitung debit limpasan. Metode yang dipakai dalam menghitung debit limpasan akibat hujan menggunakan metode Rasional, dengan data awal berupa peta tata gunalahan, topografi, dan data hidrologi berupa data curah hujan harian. SIG digunakan untuk menghitung variabel-variabel dalam persamaan metode rasional dengan analisa overlay yang telah tersedia dalam ArcGis 10.3 Software ArcGIS 10.3 juga dapat digunakan sebagai program untuk menampilkan informasi hidrologi berbasis SIG di lokasi pit PT.Berau Coal. Penginformasian kondisi hidrologi berbasis digital tentu saja sangat diperlukan bagi engineer PT. Berau Coal sebagai sarana dalam mengambil keputusan dan kebijakan yang akan dilakukan dalam memonitor kondisi hidrologi di pit  Hasil kajian dilakukan perhitungan distribusi Log Pearson III, persamaan Mononobe, dan rumus rasional untuk debit limpasan. Besar debit rencana akibat hujan hasil pengolahan SIG didapatkan debit limpasan berdasarkan segmen saluran yaitu segmen 1 = 3,259 m3/s, segmen 2 = 7,169 m3/s, segmen 3 = 3,912 m3/s dan segmen 4 = 14,340 m3/s. dari hasil perhitungan menggunakan persamaan Manning didapatkan dimensi puritan segmen 1 dengan lebar bukaan saluran= 1,957 m, tinggi saluran (h) = 1,607 m, dan lebar dasar saluran (b) = 1,339 m.
