Descriptive Study on Learning Strategies of Tahfidzul Quran for the Pupils of Pondok Qur'an Bandung

Abstract


The success of a learning process is determined by several factors. One of them is the learning strategy. Learning strategy is the effort made to achieve the objectives. Learning strategy can also be done in formal (schools), non-formal (pesantren), and informal (family) situations. The purpose of this study is to determine the learning strategies adopted by Pondok Qur'an Bandung, which include the content, stages, strategy, programs, and outcomes of learning at Pondok Tahfidzul Qur'an Bandung. The method of this study is a descriptive-qualitative. This method also accompanied by activities of discussion and analysis of data resulting conclusions and suggestions. The research found that the content of Tahfidzul Quran learning program in the Pondok Quran targeting students to memorize for one year. It is effective for 2 years. The first two months included two chapters (30, 29), the second two months included four chapters (28, 27, 26, 1), the third two months included 6 chapters (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7), the fourth two months included 8 chapters (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) and the fifth two months included 10 chapters (16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25). The stages of the learning strategies are carried out in three stages. First, the mushrifs gather the students and formed a small halqah, and initiate activities with basmalah and prayers, and then open the event with tausyiah for few minutes. Second, the core activity or presentation covers students performing to mushrifs their memorizing directly with the predetermined model. The new target is then deposited, by murojaah. Mushrifs correct students’ reading if there are mistakes. Third, the closing, mushrifs give tausyiah and lead a prayer. Advices and feedbacks are given so that students can be better in the next time. Tahfidzul Qur'an is good, which is the amount of memory that has been completed reaching 45.45% compared to 36.36% for Students learning out of the Pondok Quran in which their parents are not satisfied with the existing facilities and cannot survive with the program applied.
