The implications of the word Qaulan on the Educative Communication

Abstract


This study starts from the premise that an educator should have competence in communication to support its role in the learning process. One sphere of competence is the ability or skill, where skill is one of the factors that must be owned by a teacher in doing the task or job. The ability of teachers to interact and communicate can facilitate the students understanding the content of learning materials. In the Holy Quran there are verses pertaining to communications that Allah pour in editorial qaulan ma'rufa, qaulan syadida, qaulan baligha, qaulan karima, and qaulan layyina. They have place and role respectively. The purpose of this study is to determine (1) the opinions of the commentators regarding the terms qaulan ma'rufa, qaulan syadida, qaulan baligha, qaulan karima, qaulan maysura, and qaulan layyina; (2) the essence of the terms; (3) the opinion of experts on educational and persuasive communication; (4) the implications of the terms on the educational and persuasive communication. The method of this research is descriptive method. Descriptive method is a study of status, attitudes, opinions of individuals, the conditions and procedures, a system of thought or event in order to make the description or depiction systematically and analytically to solve current problems. In other words, it is aimed to interpret the terms qaulan ma'rufa, qaulan syadida, qaulan baligha, qaulan karima, qaulan maysura, and qaulan layyina in accordance with the present realities. The technique of research is the study of literature by using data source from a variety of books. The results of the discussion includes (1) the meaning of qaulan according to the commentators covering a good speech, correct, businesslike, polite, soft, easy to digest, and accepted easily by other parties; (2) the essence contained in the terms (a) Qaulan sadidan (the interaction and communication that are polite, correct, and straightforward), (b) Qaulan Ma'rufan (a good interaction and communication, build, and making glad the hearts of listeners), (c) Qaulan balighan (the interaction and communication imprint and settled into the hearts of listeners), (d) Qaulan Karima (the interaction and communication that are gentle, polite, accompanied by manners, respect and love), (e) Qaulan layyinan (the gentle interaction and communication); (3) the implications of the development of communicative competence of teachers needed in education because communication is a major factor in conveying a lesson. Therefore, a teacher should optimize the communication method to achieve success. The educational implications contained in the terms qaulan are that (a) teacher should interact and communicate educatively; (b) teacher should interact and communicate with good words; (c) teacher should interact and communicate by using many words; (d) teacher should interact and communicate politely and courteously; and (e) teacher should interact and communicate by using the order form of communication that can be accepted easily.
